Just fair warning, it's an episode of Strange New Worlds that the crossover happens, not Lower Decks. It's actually in live action, and Mariner and Boimler's VAs play the live-action versions of them too. Adora is prime little material with all the repressed childhood stuff.

So far, she and Brooklynn are tied for my favorite character.

I also love the fact that the first episode brought back Mr. DNA.

There's a crossover with the prequel Strange New Worlds where Mariner and Boimler travel back in time to the original Enterprise, and they keep mentioning specific moments involving time travel that the characters in the past have no idea about. It also has a little exchange between Mariner and Boimler that perfectly captures their relationship.

"I joined Starfleet so I could be a part of history but if they can't find a way to get us back home we're gonna have to go live somewhere off the grid where we can't affect history at all."

Adora enjoying her first party gives me life.

The funny thing about Lower Decks is that a lot of times, it'll say something that sounds random, but was actually something that happened in another episode of Star Trek.

So far, I'm on episode 3 of both.
