Hm, Shadow's Play seems fine. I guess we can start it - Bakura is intimidating Tea, and they're already in a dueling scenario. Will this be Duelist Kingdom, Battle City, or some other specific dueling structure? I think I might prefer Battle City personally - 4,000LP, sacrifices, simple play. Unless you feel 2,000LP is enough. I'm feeling as though we're putting more light on the duel itself, and the dialogue between the two as they play the game, than what happens afterwards. I'm not sure what the plan is for that - does Yugi take care of her for a while, then find a chance to duel Bakura for Tea's freedom? I rather like that, and it gives us two instances of duels. Also, Yugi's deck is easy.
Now, two things. First off, you'll be both Yugi and Bakura, which means if they duel, I'll have to take one. I don't mind which. Second, with Tea's diapering, there must be a curse on her when she doesn't have one on too. So, magic tabs that won't come off unless she uses it, and something that happens if she doesn't put another back on after she uses. Any ideas?
Hm, well, we need a starting point, and a title. What shall it be? Already starting the shadow game? A little lead up to it? Also, if Bakura just...disappears? ...after the game, where does Yugi come into play, exactly? Does he come to eventually fight Bakura for Tea's freedom? In this case, is Bakura the one putting her in diapers, and how does that all work, exactly?
"Well, it might be easy for me to, say, keep track of the game on paper"
"...their decks are, I believe, easily searchable for full accuracy..."
"Finally, I'd love to make this as realistic as possible when it comes to their decks and dueling styles."
Well not "measure" in the context of length, but in religion I think it was based off the concept of God's "rule" and how he measures stuff like that. It eventually was taken in the sense that it's used in now, which is any term directly affiliated and coming from the producers of the show in question. So . . . well, yeah, Goku is technically canon, as he's the main character produced for the show, but of course he's used in other "fanon" works. A better example is to say that, in DBZ, characters like Goku were usually seen in orange attire. This is canon, something anyone can state in a fanon work and will be accepted without question. However, if someone wrote a fic that had them in spacesuits, this is obviously not canon and won't be widely accepted by the fanbase.
Now, what makes you think I don't know Téa's deck? Granted we don't get a complete outline of any character's deck and we're left with subtle hints or what they blatantly show us, there is still a decent list of cards she's been known to use and, as you said, the duel won't last long anyway (noshit) so it probably won't matter much in the end.
Some information on the term canon: the term was derived from the Greek "κανών", meaning "rule" or "measuring stick". The term was first coined in reference to scripture by Christians, but the idea is said to be Jewish. It didn't quite mean like how we use it today, but that's simply outlining the origins. The modern form of canon was first used by analogy in the context of fiction to refer to the Sherlock Holmes stories and novels to distinguish those works from subsequent pastiches by other authors. Since then, it's been applied to just about every fandom with a mass large enough to create works of their own, and need a term to point out their works from official ones. So, this is where the term canon originates from and how it came to be used in the way it is today.
Now, for the RP. I'm fine with a Shadow Game if it provides a better story arc. I'm okay with either of the two girls, as their decks are, I believe, easily searchable for full accuracy. Pick a villain and we can determine the prey based on a story we can discuss involving them. We are definitely not going with OCs, but if you want to be Yugi as well as a villain (or maybe IS the villain, whatever you feel is interesting) then at least make him relevant. Finally, I'd love to make this as realistic as possible when it comes to their decks and dueling styles.
You're not making much sense either. I said I'm fine with playing either Tea or Mai against Bakura or some other canon character, as it's easy to keep track of their decks, they're not OP, and if we have to do a Shadow Game, then I suppose it has story as well. You keeping insisting on being an addition character who's not in the duel, which doesn't seem to play too much of a role in the story.
Actually I'd prefer canon characters on the fact that it's easier to keep up with their decks, too. It's not all OP and such. If you feel a shadow game is the best way to bring out Yami Bakura, I'm for it. Still, who does the actual babying after the match is over? I'm guessing Bakura doesn't take her soul, but does somethin' with diapers~
I think I'd prefer a canon character when playing with other canon characters. Situation stands though - if you're another character besides Bakura, where does he come into play at during the duel?
