Sorry for Shouto acting so agreesive. But I imagine he would be boiling over with anger at his dad, and seeing his dad in a spot where where he can't right back, h would finally tell him how he feels

Also why do you want him to forget things? I mean the standard rule of time travel when dealing with the ripple affect is if you are back in time you remember everything from the timeline you came from prior to the changes even for a extreme example you'd at a point start fading out of existence from screwing up your own conception …

So um if you have a good reason for him to start forgetting things to divert from the standard sci-fi fiction of time travel I'd be likely open to him forgetting things but that depends on the how and why factor for me in this case as I am big on following Time Travel based fiction rules as its one of my fav concepts in fiction
