Okay I've done similar-ish concepts. Though I'm not sure I like the zoo angle and would prefer more of an adoption angle. Maybe just an alien or alien couple are unable to have children, but there planet has a blackmarket trade in human adoption because they naturally live so much longer than them and their atmosphere has an effect on humans where they lose their continence but never grow older. They "adopt" a human and treat them like a baby, but then maybe one or both of them come to the conclusion that they also like playing with its adult features. Could also be that if we go the couple route the wife is ignored by and bored with her husband and she finds that playing with her new baby is more fun.
