- Don't call me "ma'am", Julie. I'm Patricia, I'm your nurse, not your prison warden. - she kindly explained, and then showed her to the mirror.

Julie squeals happily and makes a bolt for the door

- Not so fast, Julie, you don't even know where it is! - Patricia chuckled, jogging after her.
- Take my hand, I'm gonna show you. - she said, extending a hand, and only started to walk after she took it. They went downstairs, took a corridor and finally entered a double door at the end.
Inside was a gym large enough to match a school's, with a hardwood floor mainly, divided to multiple smaller areas, some covered with a carpet, some with an impact-absorbing plastic. Various tools were available: parts of the wall had wall bars, there were beams and rings for advanced gymnastics, large thick polyfoam mats for floor gymnastics, uneven and even bars, and for smaller kids, several jumpropes, balls, beanbags, pillows and other childish or recreational tools.
There were currently 3 people inside: 2 adults, and a fragile little brunette girl, no older than 12. The child wore a pink long sleeved leotard with crotch snaps and pull-ups underneath, currently laying on her back with a man in his mid-30s wearing a blue T-shirt and black knee shorts bending her feet so much her knees almost touched her belly. Her nurse, a brunette in her late 30s watched closely.
Patricia greeted them in due time.
- Hello Annie, Carol, Adam! - she waved and smiled, causing Annie, the child, to immediately turn her head, then break the exercise, get on all fours and scurry behind her nurse, peeking out from there, looking pretty scared, until she leaned down and pick her up in her arms.
- Sorry about that, Annie's really shy and gets scared of new people - Carol excused, trying to comfort her young protege.
- No problem. This is Julie, and she'd love to pick up gymnastics. Julie, this is Adam, our trainer, Carol, my collegue and Annie, a patient like you.

Annie whimpers a bit "want mommy and daddy"

Julie slowly walked towards Adam, as her eyes darted arund the room taking it all in. When she finally reached Adam she extended her hand, silently hopping that her reasons for being here didnt precedde her

Carol hugged Annie tight.
- You know they can't come, sweetie. - she said with a sigh. Annie lost both parents in a car accident, and had a nervous breakdown after, becoming unable to let anyone close. It peaked in a suicide attempt, which was her ticket in the high security ward here. She also got her spine injured in the accident, having a partial muscle control loss in her lower body, barely being able to walk, or stand on her own, also fully lost her bladder control and partially her bowel control. So far she only warmed up to the nurse and the physiotherapist.

Adam was a tall, muscular guy who learned quite some time ago never to judge anyone without looking twice with his own eyes. Despite his build he had quite a friendly attitude, unlike Jacob.
- Nice to meet you. - he nodded, shaking Julie's hand.
- Have you been doing gymnastics before, like in school or in a sports club, or is this your first time? - he inquired, already trying to assess her skills.

Annie nodds and starts to ccry

"Well, we hhaadd a few units on it in pe, aand the teacher sgaid that i was born to do it" she says as she notcies a large pit filled with foam blocks "Foam pit!" She screams as she runs and jumps into the pit. When she looked at Patricia she had a massive scolding face on her while Adam was simply laughing

Carol tried to do her best to calm Annie down and comfort her.
- I'm so sorry sweetie, I shouldn't have mentioned. Forgive me.

Patricia indeed looked at her like an angry mom looks at a naughty kid, but soon Adam's laughter stuck on her too and couldn't help smiling.
- Ask next time, Julie. And Adam, try not to laugh your head off. - she elbowed the trainer.

Adam almost teared up laughing, seeing the teen act so childish and dive straight into the foam pit.
- Ow. What? - he looked slightly annoyed at Patricia when she elbowed him.
- So your teacher said you're a natural, huh? Well foam pit diving isn't an Olympic competition but you'd surely get maximum score if it was. Why don't you climb out so we can actually start working?

"Its okay" Annie murmurs and kisses Carol on the cheek "Can i go back to my room now?" Her room even though it was a high sec room, closely resembled her old room at her house, yellow walls with doodles on them, a small toddler bed with bubble print sheets, and a white carpet floor that went from wall to wall. The size of the room was a tad smaller than Julie's current room. The room was furnished lightly as there was only a bed, a basket for some toys, a changing table, and a small closet for her clothes. "I want Mr. Snuggly" She sighs refering to her stuffed lion

Julie giggles and climbs out of the pit, before throwing a foam cube at Patrica, annd then hugging her tightly "Sorry, its just that I like the foam pit alot."

- Sure we can. - Carol let out a relieved sigh and returned the kiss, carrying her back to her room. They did everything possible to make it comfortable for her, since she was still believed by the staff to be in danger of harming herself. A week ago she was wearing the same mitten handcuffs Julie had to wear.
Carol gently sat her down on her bed and gave Annie her favourite stuffed lion.
- Do you want to change into your jammies, sweetie, or you'd like to stay in your cutie leotard for a while? -she asked, sitting hext to her.

Patricia caught the foam piece and then returned the hug.
- Yes I saw that - she commented teasingly.
- Pat you have a really good touch if she already warmed up to you. - Adam remarked, then stepped closer and turned to Julie.
- Alright, how about we test your balance first? Care to try walk along the beam? - he asked curiously.

Julie nods as she breaks off the hug and gets on top of the nearby balance beam
