(I always like to wonder how Lick, a Ghost-type move that uses the tongue, would still do nothing to a Normal-type. XD)

Even the Lick appeared to not to much to Girafarig the Thunderbolt actually proved to be more effective. The good news the shock managed to make Girafarig snap out of its confusion but the bad news is that Girafarig didn't seem to be moving much from that shock. She wasn't knocked out because the Pokemon was still standing. The real reason was that it became completely paralyzed which made Whitney gulp. "Not good," she muttered.

"Well since we're moving through all the statuses here, Haunter use hypnosis, that's psychic, it will be effective to some extend" he says as he watched the ghost pokemon use the move directed at the frozen giraffe.

(I'm terrible with this type thing on how ghost doesn't affect normal Xp.)

Despite being paralyzed Girafarig was able to dodge the Hypnosis, but just barely. However the Psychic attack couldn't be dodged as the Pokemon was pushed back and knocked down quite a bit. Girafarig struggled to get up but her legs are far too numb to get a good hold onto the ground. "Girafargi, get up!!!" Whitney cried. However, the Pokemon couldn't manage to find the strength as it looked right at Haunter. The Gym Leader was pretty fearful as she could tell that one more strong attack could be enough to finish Girafarig off.

Matt looked over at Whitney and sighed. "Whitney do you want to surrender the round? I don't have much to use, but if nothing else I will have my Haunter put your Girafarig to sleep" he states.

"I hate to see you in such sorrow over your pokemon, and I don't want to hurt it anymore" he states.

Whitney looked at Girafarig and had no other choice but to agree. It was far too numb to even stand let alone attack. "Fine, this round goes to your Haunter," she reluctantly agree, calling back her Girafarig, "But now you are really in for it now. You may have beaten two of my Pokemon but you'll find this one to be no pushover." She then brought out the third and final Pokeball that she selected which served as her secret weapon. "Go, Miltank!!!" she cried, throwing the Pokeball and out coming the Milk Cow Pokemon.

"Awww that cutie again?" he comments then pulled a pokeball up and withdrew his Haunter then let out his Miltank from earlier and let her walk over to Whitney's to playfully mingle. It was a simple ploy that might avoid the fight. It seemed Whitney was prideful and didn't want her pokemon hurt. His Raichu would give the normal pokemon a pretty good battle, but if it wasn't necessary, he might just avoid it altogether.

Whitney was a bit confused with what was going on and that really made her impatient. True, the scene looked cute but it was barely enough to get her mind off the battle. Besides, she was still eager with teaching Matt a lesson over everything that happened at the farm. The gym leader just crossed her arms and gave up looked like a really cute pout. "You know, this is a Gym Battle still," Whitney reminded, "Don't except to use cuteness to change my mind so easily." Her Clefairy, still by Whitney's legs, nodded agreement. However, Miltank was absorbed with the other Miltank until it heard what her trainer said and snapped back into focus, nodding her head, too.

He smiled then slowly walked over and pet both bovines then returned and let his Miltank stand next to the ring. "As you wish Whitney" he states then let his Raichu walk into position. "You did say this was a serious battle, so what did you want from our wager? You never said. You just agreed to what I wanted" he points out.

Whitney had never really thought about it much. "Well I could go for a nice and fancy buffet downtown," she proposed, "And you could pay for the meal for me." Whitney just used the cutest face she could muster up in hopes of sealing the deal. Meanwhile, on the battlefield, Miltank just looked at Raichu, determined to defeat the electric mouse.

"Really? I'd pay for your meal or cook for you sweetie. I think you're gorgeous, and you have the best butt around. It wouldn't take much to get me to do things for you like that" he states with a wink and waited for her to move. His Raichu was fast and powerful, and it seemed too easy to do an electric attack from afar.
