Nick smirked at Judy and sat down, the two just chatted about what was happening at the station without her.

Soon a bear doctor walked in with a smile, he explained that Judy's injuries weren't as serious as they first thought.
"You can leave in the morning! But there is something I wanted to tell you in private." He motioned for Nick to leave to which he shook his head.

"Doc, whatever is wrong with Judy, I wanna know too, she's my mate." Nick held Judy's paw in his own.

The doctor sighed and held up a clipboard.

Judy blinked as he held up the clipboard and she took it with her free paw and started to read it

"Miss Hopps, I am afraid that we misdiagnosed your incontinence...it isn't temporary... by the fractures in your pelvic area...they are too severe to ever heal. I'm so sorry..." The bear lowered his head.

Nick gasped as his mouth hung open in disbelief.

Judy's eyes suddenly filled with tears as she heard this news

The doctor sighed and left the room, feeling he had said enough.

"Judy...don't cry." Nick hugged Judy tight.
"It'll be okay, I promise." He said as he began tearing up as well.

She hugged him tightly and cried into his chest, she was ready to accept this lasting a few months, or maybe even a year, but she had no idea this would become a lifelong thing

"I don't care if you're incontinent Judy, I will never leave or stop loving you!" Nick said hugging Judy tightly.

She continued to cry into him as she just thought of what her life would be like

"Don't cry...please don't cry...I'm so sorry...I'm sorry..." Nick kept crying as well. He felt like a failure for letting this happen to Judy, and now he couldn't even fix it.

Judy now could only hope that one day medicine would become good enough to fix her, and that was one heck of a longshot
