A few things that might help with leaks are
1. If you are a boy, point your "thing" down. 2. Dont flood it. 3. Make sure the diaper fits properly, if its too big or too small it will probably leak. 4. Dont wet if you are on your side, it will probably leak. 5. Change your diaper when it's wet. A wet diaper will not only leak, it can cause rashes, bladder infections and other nasty stuff. |
"...Make sure they are on the outside of the legs so they can do there job properly!(Thanks LinusBlueSnow88!)"
Does someone have a picture/diagram of this done properly? I've read the rules and know we're not supposed to share live pictures but I think this could use something so people like me can look at themselves in the mirror when they change and verify that they did this tip right. edit: If people don't want a picture of this to be posted then I'll understand. edit2: No need for a photo, https://www.adisc.org/forum/showthre...ut-On-a-Diaper summarizes it well enough: "...Finally, stand up and make sure to run a finger round the leg gathers, untucking any of the outer material that may have gotten folded up." |
This was likely mentioned, but even for disposable diapers plastic pants work wonders, there's all kinds of different ones made from different materials to for the best comfort, this makes the biggest difference for me as leaks don't really happen to me when I have them. This is especially important since I am a heavy wetter at night time and I don't want to get out of bed to change when I want to sleep instead.

I want to add another tips:
"Don't give up. Keep experimenting until you get it right." It took me about 3 years from when I had regular access to diapers before I felt comfortable peeing without worrying about leaks. I was ordering premium diapers at that point so I know that even the best brand will fail if you put it on wrong or get the wrong size. |
