“I can call them to see if they can come pick me up.” Rhea pulled out her phone. She wondered if her parents would be busy, or mad. Well, if they can’t pick her up, she has this lady offering to get her home.
Rhea pulled out her phone and… IT DOES NOT WORK?? Nothing is working! The phone, internet, not even the weather app! It seems like nothing was connecting.
“I can’t contact them…?” Rhea said out loud confused, “Hey you have a phone I can borrow?” Rhea asked the lady.

Rhea sighed, this lady doesn’t even know what a phone looks like?
“Oh okay, thank you.” Rhea said as she made his way inside. What she didn’t expect was that the phone would have a rotary dial.
‘It is one of those spinny phones!?!?’ She thought, ‘This lady is a caveman! Ugh, how do I even work these??’ She thought as she spun around the dial not knowing what to do.
“Uhhh, hey can you help me enter my parents’ phone number?” Rhea asked the lady.

She told the lady her parents’ phone number. However, what Rhea doesn’t realize is that not only the phone number, but also her parents as she knows them do not exist yet. Rhea essentially asked the lady to dial in a nonexistent phone number.

Huh no answer no matter how many times I called She said confused

“Huh!?” Rhea asked confused. ‘What on earth is going on?’ She thought. Rhea was slightly worried. Hopefully the lady won’t think she lied to her or anything.

“Okay, thank you.” Rhea told the lady her address, a house that does not exist yet. Even the street doesn’t exist yet.
Rhea somewhat felt bad about wasting the lady’s time with the phone, but how the heck was she supposed to know it wouldn’t work?? She doesn’t get why the lady is all that upset with her.
