"Not fair.... I hate you!", Neil said angrily as he let go of Nanny, and stomped into "The Corner". "Hmmph!", he exclaimed petulantly, as he sat down, protruded his lower lip, and folded his arms. Pouting sullenly, the naughty four year old remained in this position, and waited impatiently for Miss Amara to release him.

Amara knew that this was just a phase with him and he'd be fine after a good night's sleep, which he'd get after his time out and a nice bottle.

Little Neil felt terrible for what he had said, as he sat and pouted in "The Corner". Overwhelmed with guilt he thought, "I no hate Nanny. I wuv her.... Why I say dat? Now she gonna weave me fer sure...." The more he thought about his recent behavior and words, the worse he felt. After about five minutes, Neil was no longer pouting. Now appearing truly remorseful and quite miserable, Nanny's little boy simply sat in his timeout and started to cry....

Amara ignored Neil's crying till his time was served, and then came back into the room. "Neil your time is up. You may come out of the corner now."

Neil heard Nanny release him. He got up from the corner, and unable to face her kept his eyes glued to the floor as he wandered over to where she was standing. When he reached her he tentatively threw his arms around her legs, and attempted to hug her. Eyes still downcast, and appearing both sad and sorrowful, he said, "Nanny, I wuv you. I no hate you. I not know why I sayed dat. I sowwy...."

"It's ok Neil, someone is cranky and needs to go to sleep. It's past your bedtime ya know." She lightly bopped him on the nose and took him to his room.

Neil would never admit that he wanted to go to bed, but Nanny was right. It had been a vey long, and very difficult day. He was tired, and was actually looking forward to having her tuck him in. Usually, Miss Amara would make night-nights a very comforting, cuddly, and cozy experience. Even though he knew that he had been a very, very naughty, little boy most of the day, and that she was quite frustrated with him, he hoped that tonight's routine would be no different. Gently, he took her hand and walking with her waited to see what she would do....

Amara led him to his bedroom and grabbed the same pink onesie he had worn earlier for his nap after she had undressed him down to his diapers.

Even though Neil wanted to be cooperative and not anger Miss Amara any further, he couldn't help but to eye the onesie she was readying for him with obvious disdain, worry, and disgust. "Nana, I wanna wear my Superman jammies. I no wanna wear de onesie.... Dat fer babies. You not gonna make me wear dat. Wight?", he whined, while still trying to be polite.

"Neil baby you're still being punished, I can't cut you anymore slack than you have gotten already. I'm sorry baby."
