Bigtime EDM fan, mostly Hardstyle and Drum 'n' Bass. Still haven't managed to make it to a rave though, gas costs too much to be going to Jacksonville or Miami.

Listening to Paxi - Fixi (Deepforces Remix) atm.

I prefer to listen to more electroish stuff.
Techno is good, yes. Rave is a little better, but psychedellic is the best.
Psy got me addicted, when I found out some tracks can give me a spine-tingling. I've even made a piece of music myself that gets the tingle up almost everytime I listen to it. Anyone ever felt like that with music too?

Most of the time I listen to dub flavoured electronica and such. A lot of House too.
I love long monotome sessions, where little details vary the music now and then. It helps me relax. I detest Hardstyle and alike though, it's just mean noise to me when the bass has to be more like a mistreated synthesizer.

I found these free-to-download DJ sessions by Jordan Stevens some time ago. You guys should try it out. (here's a link to my favorite) ^^

@ Ravers and drugs:
There's something you've got wrong there. Ravers are people listening to a certain type of music, raving (the way of dancing to such music), and or dressing up in a special punk-ish way. The ones doing drugs while listening to these rave or psychedellic flavoured music types, whom some of you are probably thinking of would be psychonauts.
Whether a raver is also doing drugs a lot depends solely on where you find such raver. And it's not like in the movies, that drugs are everywhere around ravers. You'll get offered just as many drugs if you go to any place in the city in normal party dress, as if you were flanking your raverishness.

And it's not like people doing drugs are any worse than people drinking alcohol, really. Alcohol is a much more fucked up drug than many of the illegal ones anyway, and cigarettes are just even worse.

Techno is the most underground form of sound. Except(take notes mojo)for all the death metal shit.

chibigo March 5th, 09 09:18 PM

Nah, I think trance has more underground networks than techno. It's just that much easier to produce really. There's no big difference between the too, though. So they share a big part of "underground".

The difference between Techno and Trance is like the difference between Rock and Metal. It's all Rock to me. The difference may be the common style of how the sounds are executed within the sub-genre, but the formula is mainly the same.
