"That's a very lovely description," Victor said in approval.

Victoria nodded and chuckled a bit.

Quite a few people were out and about, and the mood seemed unusually jovial.

They made their way directly to the waterfront.

Victor's parents business was thriving, as usual. Today's specials seemed to be cod and flounder.

There was a surprising abundance of them in local waters lately.

Although Victor was living on his own and made a reasonable sum from his own business, his parents still sent him a share of the profits. They claimed it was mostly for their future grandchild's sake

"Mother, Father, I see things are going quite well."

William and Nell smiled when their only child approached with his lovely wife. "Indeed, they are, my boy. We could say the same of you."

He nodded at that thought, and Victoria smiled brightly.
