"Little nervous about my first day as a high schooler," Dil confessed, "But I figure; if Tommy and I could survive in a forest for two days when we were babies, I can get through this first week."

"That's definitely something I don't care to remember," Stu said.

"We don't blame you, Dad," Tommy assured Stu, patting him on the back, "If anything, that experience probably brought us closer together."

"Yeah, but it would be nice to actually know that," Dil said. "There's a whole lot of things I don't remember in my life."

"Same here," Tommy admitted. "Guess we can just make the most of our lives now." They then began to break their fast.

After they finished, they got ready to head to school.

They quickly met up with their lifelong friends, Charles "Chuckie" Finster, his stepsister Kimi Watanabe-Finster, and the twins Philip "Phil" and Lillian "Lil" DeVille.

"So, welcome to high school, Dil," Phil said.

"Thanks," Dil said, feeling a little more confident. Although Phil, Lil, and Chuckie were the same age of Tommy and had been Tommy's friends first, they had quickly come to accept him as one of the group. "Any sign of the bus?"

"Should be here any minute," Chuckie said.
