Leanna nodded slowly, unaware her mother wasn't as alert to her feelings as she'd thought. Leanna gave Renee a tearful smile.

"Wuv oo, Mommy..." She cooed, giving her mother a kiss on the cheek.

No more secrets, no more lies...She could be who and what she'd wanted to be all along. This disaster had turned out better than Leanna had had any right to expect.

Renee held Leanna tightly against her chest, gently rocking her back and forth. Renee had missed this so much, she just denied it on such a deep level that until she had her new baby in her arms she wasn't willing to deal with the feelings that came rushing to her now. Maybe this is what she wanted, she fondly remembered being a young mother... the patter of little feet, the emotional rituals that let her connect with her baby every day. How everything could be solved with a smile, a kiss, and a fresh diaper.

Ever since her husband left her, Renee had been searching subconsciously for something to return the love she ached to give, and here she was, so sweet and unchanged by the corruption of adult life. Could she really take advantage of her newfound daughter's innocence? No... This was supposed to be a punishment, to prepare her son for the real world... "wuv oo mommy" Renee snapped awake from her thoughts, she felt the soft kiss on her cheek and looked down and looking back through the brightest eyes she had ever seen was not a son who needed correction, but a baby girl who just wants her mommy. "I love you too sweetpea" she said pulling her back in protectively to her chest.

Whoever said a punishment couldn't be a loving experience?

Leanna felt so warm as her mother held her protectively; everything was going to be so different now, but she felt so happy and safe like this. Hadn't this been the secret happy ending her imagination had always given the little games of dress-up? That one day it wouldn't just be playing pretend and she could really be her mommy's little girl?

And now it had come true. Leanna had felt so much in the past couple hours that this rush of joy had left her tired out, and so she cuddled in close, curling up to her mommy lovingly and starting to drift away in the warm safety of her arms.

While Leanna had been deliberate in her use of baby talk, her thumb slipped into her mouth quietly of its own volition as she rested securely against her mother's chest.

Renee gently cuddled her sleeping infantile daughter, calmly rocking them both. Careful not to wake her, she worked her index and middle fingers past the cuff of Leanna's diaper. She knew it would be wet but she did want to make sure to find her another one before it leaked. She concluded that she could change Leanna after a nap, without risking a leak or a rash.

Soon the diaper bag, half-hidden under the bed, caught her eye. Renee almost heaved a sigh of relief as she found the few spare changes her daughter had left. She also found a large pink pacifier with a white ring, which she popped into the sleeping baby's mouth in place of her thumb. Suddenly Renee had an idea, but it would take a bit of work. She set her baby back in bed and swaddled her up tight. With this done she gathered up the supplies needed to change her daughter's diaper. Then she started the process of bringing it all to the living room, and had her daughter bundled up on the couch, her changing supplies on hand, and she began to work on the new project she had just thought up. She sat next to the couch scribbling lines on some poster board. "That poor baby's been through so much, but she'll have quite the surprise when she wakes up" Renee thought to herself as she put the title on her chart "Leanna's Potty Training Progress" and quietly went about putting her new plan in action.

Leanna was apparently more tired than she'd let on; despite falling asleep in the middle of the day, the new baby girl slept for a good two hours, unaware of her mommy moving around and preparing to put a new plan into action...

Leanna's dreams seemed to share her joy at being able to show her true self to her mother; she had none of Leo's bad dreams of a secret shame exposed to the whole school and being laughed at, or of the nebulous, faceless man Leo had known to be his father returning to berate him and make his mother cry.

No, swaddled lovingly and sleeping peacefully in her mother's acceptance and love, Leanna dreamed more innocent dreams, a sweet little girl inside and out for once, and free to play with her Mommy without anyone coming to bother or upset them.

The dream couldn't last forever, however, and Leanna eventually opened one sleepy eye where she lay, continuing to suck her pacifier as she started to look around and try and get her bearings after her long nap!

Renee noticed Leanna awake from her nap, "You awake sweetie?" she asked, capping her marker and finishing her plan.

Leanna was quite comfortable with her pacifier at the moment, so she decided not to take it out, just nodding mutely. She looked curiously at the marker her mother was in the process of capping.

Clearly things had been going on while she was asleep, but she wondered what?

Renee smiled at her daughter as she brushed the hair from her face, "You ready to get up?" she asked rhetorically, but still making no move to get her off the couch. "We have things to do and mommy wants to change your diaper first."

"Otay, Mommy..." Leanna said, mumbling a little due to her reluctance to just remove the pacifier; it was very comforting to have!

The groggy big baby girl clumsily clambered down from the couch and prepared to waddle over to her mommy before remembering the rules. She remained on her hands and knees, crawling over to Renee with her soggy Disney Princess diaper waving cutely in the air.

Renee had to giggle to herself, "I'd forgotten how cute your little bottom was all wrapped up in a diaper." she commented placing a thick pad on the floor next to her. Once she had Leanna on the pad and the supplies handy, she began the process of changing her daughter. She loudly ripped off the tapes, which were actually a plastic tape instead of the soft velcro-like pads on depends or something similar. "These diapers sure do look cute" Renee cooed, removing the wet diaper and placing the new one under her daughter's bottom. After a through cleaning and a heavy dusting of powder, the diaper was snugly fastened to Leanna's hips. "Okay sweetie, let's get you dressed to go out and I'll explain some new conditions"
