"I see you like the bunny plushie and I think it suits you perfectly." The nurse smiled as she ruffled and stroked the top of his head tenderly. "It's all yours Danny, just remember that if you feel a little down you can always come back and we can help you." She promised as she helped him out the door. "Is there anything else you might need?" She asked just to make sure.

"Uhm, yes please." Jacob requested of the nurse politely, trying to look uninterested at the babyish items. He looked through the chest and found a fluffy kitty plush. "This one looks nice." He commented on it as he gave it a hug and snuggle.

Danny nodded as he was touched "o-okay miss" he said as he headed towards the door "um , well , actually....can you show me how the clothes work" he asked hopefully , his red cheeks betraying him , but his new soft friend was helping him already enough to enable him to ask. "a-and maybe some of the other things..." he said , looking down and away from her eyesight, clearly embarrassed.

"Oh that's a good one. Would you like to take it back to your room?" she offered "anything else catch your eye?" she asked , it's was often a good way to break the ice , the child picking a toy , after that they could be encouraged to look at the other items and easily admit they wanted or needed more once they saw it was okay to pick something that was maybe a little babyish.

"Of course dear, I think just about every cadet on board has one of everything here." She said encouragingly, to help ease the embaressment that Danny was feeling. "Here we have a footed sleeper that you can wear to bed if you'd like, and this one teachers love." She said as she pulled out what looked like a uniform with alterations, looking like a onesie and two leggings. "This is just more convientant for faster changes and to check on cadet." She continued to show more adorable clothing such as mitens, booties, onesies for bed time, and the like. "See anything you wanna take with you?"

Jacob looked happy when he was told he could keep the cat plush. "Really? Thanks I really appreciate that." He said with a warm smile. When offered to look at some more stuff, he nodded his head and shifted around finding some things he wanter clothing wise, he picked the mitten and booties with onsie for bed time and other clothes he could wear on his day off, he also took the baby version of his cadet uniform as well, he picked up a pacifier with a raised eyebrow. "Uhm, how would this help?" he asked curiously.

He looked them over "r-really?" he said , feeling better about it already "h-how do you actually put some of these on? And why would you need mittens and booties?" he asked holding them up with his spare hand. He wondered if Emily really would appreciate him wearing it instead of his current uniform. On the other hand it was addressing. Maybe just wearing it and some pants over it would be fine. "Emm , a couple. What about these?" he asked , holding up some bottles and baby toys, getting rather interested now.

"Well , sucking on it triggers the natural response for sucking milk , the same movement brings relive and stress relief , like having your mom feed you , it tricks the brain into thinking they're close and they're being soothed by a caregiver." she explained in a medicalised way , it was better if they didn't always understand but knew it was backed by some authority and it was okay to want it.

"Cadets usually wear that for their down time or on their days off, they find them to be very cute." She did her best to explain as she could. When the bottles and toys were brought up she explained that as well. "The bottles are for drinking you see, it takes you back to when your mother would feed you and it helps to make you comfortable and helps ease the feeling of homesickness. The toys are for free time. They look childish but they also are interesting to play with and helps keep the mind sharp." She holds up a toy car and opens it up. "You can customize it to make it go fast or slow by moving the gears around. This is a favorite for engineers. What teachers do you have and I can get some toys to help studying more fun." She asked.

Jacob put the modified uniform to the side, he'll change into it after lunch. "That makes sense, ooh and can I have some toys and these?" He asked holding them up along with some bottles and the pacifier. "Can I get a box to put these in my room after lunch?" He asked politely

"O-okay , if you say so" he said taking the toy and looking it over "emm , I have Emily , with the shooting range" he said , distracted by two things at once. This all a little weird , so he put the car down and stood back up "I think I'll just try with the toy for now and come back if anything persists" he said , giving it another tight hug.

"Yep , I'll make a note of the numbers , these are our show ones. You will have them delivered by the end of lunch , sorry we would give them now but it's a busy day so we're bringing more up from deep storage. It'll be delivered to your room in a toy chest like this one" she said , hitting some keys on her pad to confirm everything he wanted.

"That's alright, come back when you need to Danny." The nurse said helpfully, leading the boy back out of the office and back to the hallway. She gave his a reafirming pat on the back. "You go get something to eat and have a good day." She smiled

"Aw, thanks ma'am. I should probably head out to lunch if I wanna get something. I'll be sure to check my room after lunch to see if it's there. Have a good day." He said with a smile as he head off to the mess hall.

He nodded and waddled away towards his room to put his toy back. He wondered if he should talk to Emily about this , she knew what was going on and what he was going through , so she must have a better idea. Maybe he should have taken the things. He was still deep in thought when he felt the diaper warm up to him. Pausing he went to feel , checking the back as well, he was now upgraded from damp, to soaked and messy. Blushing he thought abut who could help him at lunch time. He went back to the psyc ward , hopefully they would help him change.

The nurse smiled and sent him off , heading out to carry on her duties.

At the psych ward, they had changing tables ready for young cadets when they need it. The nurse from earlier was seeing to another cadet who just had a fresh diaper change. "Oh, hello again little guy. Need a change?" She asked.

Jacob was heading to the cafeteria feeling a bit better about his diapers on the ship. He went to take a seat and waited for one of the droids to ask him for his order. "Uh, can I have turkey with mash potatoes and gravy?" He asked as the droid recorded it and went to the kitchen to have the meal made.

Danny nodded and got himself up onto the table for her , not to happy at being called little guy , but he was smaller than her"emm , could I also ask for some of the things in the chest?" he asked softly "I don't know if I need them or even what to do with them but it can't hurt to have them right?" he said looking up at her for support , clearly having major doubts about his choice and could use a soothing confirmation that he made the right and normal choice.
