"So, Mamacita, how is your own family?" Joan asked as they made their way out to the backyard.
"I wouldn't know. I don't keep in contact that often."
"That is too bad," said Joan, though she did not sound especially empathetic.
Mamacita basically shrugged that off. "And is the work going any better?" Her contract to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer was one of the most notable, and also seeming to not pay off so much anymore.
"With most of Europe currently at war, there have been more openings for American actors," Joan revealed, "But it is still difficult for most to find good work. But I do have an audition for a project called 'Susan and God.'"
"Well, that sounds interesting," Mamacita stated.
Joan nodded. "For now, all I can do is keep my fingers crossed."
They then strode over to the main lounge.
Joan took a seat on the sofa, holding Christina close in her arms.
(I've thought a little more on this one, and I've figured that at the very least, certain female collective members effectively come in to moonlight as assistants to care here, as well as basically create a timeless, spaceless sanctuary for Christina and Mamacita, at least)
Christina seemed to be in a really good mood. |
