Hikari was busy playing happily with her new dolls, that she didn't notice the bad smell coming from her diaper under her jammies. She had messed and wet herself while Jack was getting her changing table set up. Apparently, she couldn't tell when she was wet or messy.

It doesn't take long for Jack to notice the smell, although Hikari didn't seem
to notice it at all. "Time for a quick break hun." He picks her up and lays
her down on the newly placed changing table. After getting her stripped out of
her footies and throwing away her used diaper he cleans her up with a washcloth
and slips one of the new diapers under her uplifted bottom. They were
moderately thick, but not so much so that they would hinder her walking much.
After applying some powder he gets the diaper taped up snug and gets her jammies
zipped back on her. It was lucky for Hikari that Jack had spent many years
helping his mother care for his younger siblings when he had been little. "All
done sweetheart. Whenever you think you need changed you come find me k? I'll
also check you every now and then." Jack ruffles her hair before sitting her
back down near the dollhouse and sitting back down. "Like the dollhouse do ya?
I always loved that old rocking horse myself." He says indicating to the rocking horse
off to the side which had been Jack's when he was a little boy. "Kind of funny really, a
horse riding a horse."

Hikari nodded at jack's instruction on her diaper needs, and giggled at his joke before she started playing with her dolls again. "Daddy, tank oo fow adopting me. I weawly diwdn't wike da owphanage." She mewled as she then hugged Jack. "I wub oo daddy." She mewled before she went back to playing.

Jack smiles and hugs her close. "Well you never have to go there again hun, and I love you to." He kisses her on the top of her head before letting her go. Jack gets re-situated to where he is lying on his stomach, his tail swishing from side to side as he rests his head on his hands as he watched Hikari play. He was thankful that his work schedule meant his Fridays to Saturdays were completely free. And today being Friday meant he had the entire weekend to tend to Hikari, and even then since he worked at home from his computer he could look after her on the weekdays.

Hikari continued to play for about an hour before she began to yawn and sway in place. "Daddy, I feewl so sweepy. I neewd a nawp." She mewled before she fell over onto her side, purring softly as she sucked on her paci.

Jack chuckles and picks the snoozing neko up. He gets her tucked into bed before going through her backpack and pulling out the stuffed animal she had in it. Jack then tucks it under her arm and smiles down at her as she sleeps quietly, sucking on her pacifier. He then takes his leave of the room, to go take care of a few chores and get his shower while she napped.

Hikari cuddled with her stuffed cat as she slept, purring softly as she sucked on her paci while her new daddy did some chores. Back at the orphanage, she was forced to sleep in a crib under the logic that babies don't get to sleep in big girl beds, and only babies needed diapers.

It took about 40 or so minutes for Jack to take care of what needed taking care of around the house. He heads to the bathroom and strips down, wanting to get a quick shower in before going and waking Hikari, asuming she didn't wake on her own. Jack already loved the girl as his own, and couldn't wait to see what the future held in store for them.

Hikari woke up when Jack came in and gently shook her shoulder to wake her. She slowly opened her eyes and yawned before smiling at Jack from behind her paci. "Hewwo daddy." She mewled cutely and happily as she rubbed her eyes with the back of her wrist.

After getting his shower done Jack slipped on a pair of boxers and a white undershirt before going and getting Hikari up. His hair and mane were still a little damp, and he smelled subtly of shampoo and soap. He smiles as he picks her up and cradles her against him. "Hey there sleepy head, enjoy your little nap?"
