The next morning...

Stage one of the side effects began as Larxene woke up to a sweat-soaked Namine, who had her body stretched out to cool down.

"Aw, man, already?" Larxene quickly got up. "Shit, shit, how do we deal with this...?"

Namine was breathing heavily and slightly sounded raspy, no doubt caused from the heat her body was giving off. Her shirt was damp with sweat, some spots very wet, as well as the spot she was laying on. However, she still remained asleep as this was happening to her.

Larxene, trying to cool Namine off while she thought, turned the fan in her room on her and put a damp washcloth on her head.

The noise of the fan had started waking Namine up, only opening her eyes halfway, not knowing what was happening. But as soon as she felt how hot her body was, she began squirming around uncomfortably.

"Oh, crud...I need to cool you down, fast..." Larxene muttered.

"Mama. Hot." Namine whimpered quietly as she attempted to pull off the sweat soaked shirt sticking to her skin.

"I know, kid..." Larxene said, picking her up.

She quickly teleported to the coldest place she could think of: Vexen's chambers.

"VEXEN!"

Vexen was startled by Larxene's booming voice, having woken up only moments ago. "What is it, XII?" he yawned as he pulled his sleeping cap off of his head.

"Namine! Hot and sweaty! Cooling! Now!" Larxene barked.
