Lance turned the machine on. It flashed and then turned off. "Your Pokémon may be removed."

Alister took back his Pokemon.
"Anything else?"

Lance shook his head. "You are champion now. Congratulations."

Alister smiled and held his hand out.
"Good match!"

Lance took his hand. "Good match."

"You know, maybe replacing Clair wasn't such a bad idea." Alister smiled.
"Instead of letting someone like you just leave, how would you like to run her gym while me and her travel the Kanto region for a while?"

Clair seemed a bit surprised at that. "Really?"

Lance smiled a bit. "I will do so. Naturally, I will not be using my regular team for such battles.'

Alister smiled at Clair.
"As long as it's okay with you?"

"Well...of course it is." Clair said smiling.

Alister smiled and hugged Clair.
"Awesome! I can't wait to see the Kanto region with you baby girl!" He blurted out.
