Emilie received them, and then returned to the party unfolding. It would be nice to forget everything for a bit longer.

"Everything alright, darling?" Cruella de Vil asked her old friend when she rejoined them.

"Yes," she said. "I just got some kind of offer regarding exploration. So we all are going to hear out this proposal in the morning."

"Very well," Cruella remarked, "I would be most interested to hear the details myself. It's been a while since we've had a formidable challenge." She then handed Emilie a glass of wine and they returned to the festivities.

She smiled and they made their way around. Right now, Kagome Higurashi was talking with Inuyasha and the others about all the new experiences they'd had in the 21st century, like taking the bullet train to Osaka.

Miroku and Sango had recently had their third child, a little brother for their twins Sakura and Nozomi. On that note, Inuyasha and Kagome now had two kids of their own, a boy and a girl.

Little Kirin smiled over at his twin sisters. "So, how is parenthood treating you?" Sango asked.

"It's an absolute delight," Kagome replied, nuzzling her son, Tatsuo. He had not inherited his father's "dog" ears, whereas his younger sister Kiyomi had.

Inuyasha smiled. "I didn't think I'd get so much enjoyment out of it," he said, bouncing Kiyomi.
