"Yes I have, thanks to Rudolph," she said. Rudolph smiled as he joined Sophie in bed.

"I'm glad to hear his mother's methods have proven effective," said Ludovika, as they went to see Ludwig and Nene. "What would you like to do first?" Sophie asked.

Sisi giggled as they went together. "I don't particularly care, Mama," Rudolph said.

Sophie decided to just read to her son for now. Ludwig and Helene were playing a friendly game of bridge.

"Are you cheating again?" Ludwig asked. Rudolph smiled and listened as his mother pulled out a book.

"Why do you ask that question every time I'm winning?" Helen said drily, though her tone did not sound entirely innocent. It was one of Edgar Allan Poe's works.

Ludwig looked at her. "Because I've caught you before, Nene." Rudolph actually fell asleep in the middle.

"Works like a charm," said Sophie, as she laid down beside him. "Well, let's just see where things go," Nene stated, preparing for him to make his next move.

It didn't take her long to fall asleep with her son. Ludwig showed his hand.

Helene then showed hers. "So? Am I cheating?"
