Under the Crib Covers
 

It was not a usual evening, not for anyone really. Especially not for one Judy Hopps. As she lay inside of a basket, bonnet wrapped over her head, a diaper strapped around her waist as she waited for the door of this establishment to open and take her inside, she wondered just how it ended up like this. Of course they had been following a lead on a new type of drug, it was comprised of the Night Howler they had been dealing with before, only now the drug had been made to make animals more docile. It was definitely causing less of a public panic, but it was easily more applicable to shady purposes. It was really easy to get away with a crime when the guard couldn't think any better than a toddler.

But that isn't what strictly put Judy in this position, no, what put Judy in this position was than she was a bunny. The only species on the force that could be passed off as the young of another species, more specifically, hares. Rabbits and Hares were very similar, except that Hares were a lot bigger, so Judy could easily pass away being a baby Hare. Which meant she was chosen to go undercover in order to find out more about this drug and to see if she could find a direct link to whoever was manufacturing it, hopefully she could get in contact with a dealer, that was her main objective, if she got in contact with anyone who had info on the drug and where it came from, that would be good too.

A slight knock on the wooden door, and a check of the security camera, around 6:00 pm with the sun soon to set led Matt to the front door. The tiger was fairly tall, and wore a friendly light green daycare shirt and blue jeans. He opened the door and saw no note, just a cute swaddled rabbit? Maybe a hare? She looked kinda big, but he shrugged as he grabbed the basket gently and carried it to the nursery.

Inside the nursery we’re about 20 cribs, 5 of them had sleeping babies, at least they seemed that way. A meerkat, a mouse, a cat, a boston terrier (dog), and a skunk were all there.

The tiger set the basket down on the floor and unswaddled Judy seeing her in just a diaper and shook his head. “Poor thing” he says as he grabbed her under her arms and lifted her then laid her on the table. He went to a small closet and brought back a simple purple onesie and dressed her in it and removed the bonnet so she would have some warmth, then he slipped a purple pacifier into her mouth and finally scooped her into a cradle and began to rock her hoping to put her to sleep like the others.

What he didn’t know is that the adult babies weren’t asleep at all and were slightly annoyed by the delayed planning. They didn’t think the rabbit was a threat, and once she was asleep and the tiger gone, they would begin the planning.

Judy did her best to keep up the appearance of an infant. By that, she mainly just kept quiet, she didn't really get much time to prepare for this assignment, so her best options were to just stay relatively quiet and not get too much attention. Though she was aware she'd have to act like a baby to keep the cover realistic enough. That meant when the pacifier was placed into her mouth, she sucked on it, which wasn't bad or anything, just something she didn't think she'd be doing at this point in her life. As she was being rocked to sleep, she quickly began to feign sleep herself so that she could get back to the task at hand, finding out if their initial clue was right and that some of the kids here were just acting, same as her.

Matt wasn’t dumb, at least he felt not, so when Judy showed some signs of falling asleep, he laid her in an open crib and tucked her in loosely. He walked out of the room and shut the door before waiting to see if the new baby woke up or got upset. snow the tiger doubled his closing duty by watching overnight for the babies left behind at the daycare so he went to his room with the camera after locking the building. Now he was tired too, and couldn’t help nodding off at times.


Once the coast was clear the fake babies got up, tossed a rattle at the camera and made it jerk to the side while they slipped under one crib, and the camera returned to position.

Most had a low voice but some had light squeaky voices, but they were discussing the pacifying drug, and even there were handing out new packs to distribute. During the day the babies were visited by adults who were possible adopting parents, or just came to show love to the babies, but actually most were the sellers of the drug, or came to purchase from the source.

While Judy laid in the crib, she didn't keep her eyes open, but her ears for sure. It wasn't long before she managed to hear something going on. Voices, clear voices, talking together, not just little kids or babies mumbled or talking in their sleep, an actual conversation. Good, this meant that they had been right to send her here. Now, she'd just need to find out more, get some hard evidence against them, but she needed to know more about the contacts as well, she couldn't blow her cover here and now after all. She'd need to learn more about who was talking, commit the voices she was hearing to memory so she could try and identify them when it was daytime. Her resolve was iron tight as she stayed up, making sure there wasn't anything else happening.

The planning was simple, but without moving Judy couldn’t match voices to faces, but all was said was about the skunk who passed gas and they made fun of him. So at least the skunk’s name was pointed out and it would be easy to write that one off.

But while Judy laid there, morning came soon and the tiger returned as the babies got back in cribs and he went about a couple of diaper changes. “I’m surprised you all mostly never need a change” he says assuming they couldn’t hear him.

It seemed that the only way she might get further is by possibly reaching out to the care taker there. However, he was about to leave and she would be stuck as a baby for a day.

Judy realized that if she wanted to get any farther in this investigation, she was going to need some help. Not from the police, but from the daycare worker. She couldn't blow her cover to the criminals though, and she'd only be able to divulge this to him if she was alone with him. Which meant she needed to get him alone, there was only one way she could think of to get his attention and remain undercover, so with a bit of reluctance, she let her bladder go, peeing into the diaper, the warm wetness around her fur was such an odd feeling, sending a little shiver up her spine as she went. Her plan was that he'd check her diaper, they'd go off to change the diaper, and then she could give him the rundown, given she was certain some of the kids were obviously not kids, she had to move with this information.

While things were relatively quiet aside from some of the babies making soft noises, the tiger’s ears twitched as he heard hissing. He then moved over to the rabbit and groped her crotch and diaper feeling the warmth. “Heh seems we have a normal baby here with this one” he coos then picked her up and held her to his chest and turned sideways, planning on taking her to the changing table in the nursery, but he felt his ear tugged on.

(leaving room for her to talk, where the others can’t see her. Otherwise he’d simply change her in front of everyone)

Judy knew they were heading for the changing table, she couldn't talk there, she needed more privacy than that, suppressing the odd feeling of having a wet diaper pressed against her, she whispered to him. "I need you to take me somewhere we can talk." using her most calm, most adult sounding voice she could in order to be taken as seriously as possible, and then added. "Don't look surprised, don't acknowledge that I said anything, just take me somewhere no one can watch or hear us."

Matt obviously was caught off guard, but he listened and carried her out of the nursery, not looking at the other babies. she took her out of view completely to the security office since i’m the next 30 minutes the day workers would be there.

Once there he stood the rabbit on his desk. “So, I’m guessing you aren’t a baby?” he states. “Why are you here?” he asks

"Okay, this is going to take some explaining. But firstly you should know I'm Officer Judy Hopps with the ZPD. I'm here because we got some information that some of the other 'children' are actually adult animals passing off as kids in order to smuggle a new form of drug. I'm here because I was the most capable choice to go in and see, and after last night, I'm certain that some of the other kids here are definitely not kids. But, I can't just find out if their kids or not, I need to know who they're supplying, and who is supplying them." she explained as best she could while standing there wearing a wet diaper.

“I knew it!” the tiger responded and slammed his fast on his open palm. “One of those little shits told me to piss off one day I was keeping them in a playpen just before closing” he states.

He then held his paw out to Judy. “Well officer Hopps I’m here to he....” he says then yawned. “Help. But the best I can do is return tonight and go over the footage with you. As far as the workers will know you’re another child to be cared for” he states. She still had her onesie on over the diaper.

“You certainly seem committed and now that I think about it, you do have to be Judy. Good work on the mayor’s aid” he says. “Are you going to be okay playing baby all day till I return? I mean I can change you before I leave@ he says

Judy took his paw and shook it. "Well, it isn't exactly a great position I'm in right now." she said as even though she had the onesie on, wet diaper was kind of hard to ignore. "But, that's how it has to be, I need to keep up this appearance so that they continue to do what their doing. If they found out a cop was here spying on them I'd never be able to get anything on them." she stated though she began to blush a bit as he asked to change her. "Well, I do need one, and it would be weird if you brought me back and hadn't changed my diaper." she stated as she regained her composure quickly.

“Understood. When I return I can access the paperwork and guest list. Everyone that comes in, especially to see the babies has to sign in a guest list, then with the camera hopefully we can figure something out. I don’t want to tell you how to do your job, just be careful” he advises.

He then scooped her up and took her back to the nursery, laid her down, and unbuttoned her onesie, untaped the diaper, wipes her clean, being gentle and a little bashful since she was an adult, then trashed the wet diaper. He then went about powdering her and taping her into a fresh diaper, buttoned up her onesie and set her in her crib before leaving for the day.

(we can do a little bit of day stuff where she notices people coming in, and the babies slipping bags or pouches into the adult’s hoodie or pocket etc during a hug or something)

Judy had to keep herself as calm as possible while getting wiped up, firstly she had to suppress the shame and embarrassment over such a thing, on top of keeping a babyish attitude up, so she sort of wiggled a little, made some small noises, nothing big. Once she was back in the crib she sort of slouched a bit as patted the mattress, trying to act like the baby she was supposed to be, while trying to keep alert, hopefully the rest of the daycare staff wouldn't get in her way too much.

The staff didn't bother much with Judy aside from normal babies, and the room filled with 6 other kids as regulars for the day would be dropped off, only to be picked up later. All of the drop offs were actual babies, oddly enough.

But Judy, while playing with the other babies, would notice certain adults being specifically focused on one baby, and it seemed like there was chatting and some hand off being made.

Judy herself was picked up a few times by workers and a potential parent or two, nothing too crazy. She was however given a bottle of milk, and some baby carrots to eat. She seemed like a toddler to the staff, not a baby, so they treated her as such.

Judy was fine with how her status was going, being a toddler was certainly easy, and she was gathering good intel, or at least, as good as it got, she was still putting faces to voices and trying to hear names, hopefully she'd be able to count on that guy when it came night time. She idly nibbled on the food she was given, eating it and drinking from the bottle, because she had to eat something, and she have many options here after all.

Later that night when Matt came in, he focused a little too much on Judy, but he reminded himself to look away. He worked and got the kids to their parents and locked the building down, but as he put the kids to bed, he scooped up Judy quietly, and carried her to the front desk, then to his office and he sat down with her on his lap while he pulled up the cameras. "If you remember anything from last night let me know. That way i can watch for it" he requests.

"No reason to barge in on their meeting, but if I know what they are doing that will help, then we can go over the papers. Oh, and don't let me forget, I brought you an actual sandwich, it's in the kitchen. Figured baby food wouldn't treat you well" he explains

Judy was thankful to have his cooperation, not to mention she felt like she would go insane if she had to put up with just being a toddler day in and out with no one to really speak to about it. Upon hearing he'd made a sandwich for her she felt ravenous, baby food wasn't terrible, but it was sort of like eating just to eat, it was all very bland and hardly even had to be chewed. "Well I remember a sharp tap sound, coming from the wall, I think a camera got his last night, judging by where the sound came from and what I saw there. But otherwise I think they got out and were discussing something, though I think a lot of it was also gossip, they probably get pretty bored pretending to be babies all day, I know I do." she stated.

"Hmm, well there is just the one camera. Maybe we should update to the ball ones that can't be hit" he thinks aloud as the camera jerked to the side then returned and now that Matt was looking, he could tell the babies were no longer in cribs, and he saw a tail or two under one particular one.

"Little bastards" he says then looked to Judy hearing her words. He gently petted her head and scratched behind her ears. "At least you would make a cute baby" he says playfully then pulls his paw back. "Wait.....sorry. That's not harassing an office is it?" he asks.

"We should look at the guest list and the video from earlier"

Judy smiled a bit. "No no, don't worry." she said, despite the slightly childish treatment, she was just happy someone was treating her older than a toddler. "Yes, knowing all the people who came in today, I know some of them were probably making exchanges of some kind, it'll be hard to pin down who exactly, they probably won't send the same people too close together if they want to keep things from getting suspicious."

He nodded and as they watched film and checked names they circled 5, seems like each baby had a person. "So can you search these people? Or send it to headquarters? If you're able to find them, I'll gladly help with blocking the building to arrest the rascals in there. Unless you want to try and talk with them at some point? Would it be safer to arrest them first?" he asks

"Well we can't make any arrests yet. The 'kids' could probably be booked with a bit of digging to get their identifications, but even then, it's, well I'm not exactly sure what the exact crime of pretending to be a baby is. No, I need the actual drug, if I get that, then there's concrete proof and everyone involved can be brought in and held for questioning on solid ground that they can't simply wait it out on." Judy explained. "Besides, as long as they don't know I'm here their bound to slip up. They're already pretty sloppy all things considered."

"Sadly I don't know how long this has gone on. I assumed as babies they weren't doing anything over night" he states. "But if you run the names and one happens to be a criminal or something, the footage shows them getting a bag of something" he points out. "Surely that is probably cause. I figure the adult gets caught and we trace it back to the babies, that way we don't have to call them out" he reasons.

"It is, but we need to know where the bag is, we need to know that it is the drug. I'm not just here to get some evidence, if there's a chance I can get everything I need to do as much as I can, then I'll do it. We just need the bag, I wonder where they keep it? Surely they can't be keeping it on them, since with all the changing, of diapers and clothes, it couldn't stay on their person, so they have to have it hidden somewhere, but where?" Judy wondered.

"Probably under the mattress or in the mattress of that one crib they're under" he points out, just being simple about it, but pointing out something that may have been genius. "If I come in while the kids are in the play area, I may be able to check" he suggests

"Well that would be our best bet. If you can find that stuff then that'll be the final piece we need to make the whole puzzle." Judy said, though after she said that she felt her gut gurgling. While she'd been wetting her diaper frequently over the day, she hadn't done anything else in her diaper yet, and it was starting to make her feel bloated at cramped. But she wasn't exactly eager to use her diaper for her other business.

He heard the rumbling and saw the rabbit grab her stomach. The tiger smiled lightly knowing what was happening, so he stood up and went into the nursery and grabbed a diaper, the changing supplies, and the purple pacifier and brought it back to the office.

"Looks like you need to make a boom boom huh?" He asks while he shoved the pacifier into her mouth then unbuttoned her onesie then gently put one paw on her back and one on her stomach. "I'll help you get through it" he insists

Judy blushed as he caught onto her so quickly. "You know it's really not that big of a deal." she said as the onesie came undone and the pacifier was pushed into her mouth, which made her pout a little. "What're you?" she asked around the pacifier as he placed his paws on her back and stomach. Perhaps she could ask to use a toilet discreetly so it didn't break her cover.

Matt was far too caught up in being a caretaker, forgetting Judy didn't normally use diapers, but he had pressed on her stomach already.

"Oh.....I was going to help you poop your diaper and change you" he states. "I suppose you could use the toilet, but you did already wet your diaper this morning" he points out.

Judy didn't really have time to think about what he was doing when he did it, all she knew is that the intense pressure inside of her, spurned by this outside force, expelled its self from her body with a decent amount of force and a fair amount of flatulence. It seemed suddenly being forced to eat baby food and drink formula did a number on her digestive tract, and in turn caused her to do a rather horrifying number two in her diaper, which expanded slightly as it was filled up quite a bit. A rather potent stench of dirty diaper wafted from her backside as he bowel movement finished in just a few short moments, Judy having a hard time looking upset while she felt an immense relief, but sported a lovely shade of red across her face because of it.

He watched and listened as Judy filled her diaper. “Hehe oh my, what a full diaper” he coos as he reached down cupping her diaper and bouncing it in his paw lightly. Matt then untaped her diaper and let it fall a little before balling it up, then he took the wipes and cleaned Judy while she stood there. Next he unfolded the fresh diaper and laid her down on top of it while grabbing the powder. “Who’s a good clean bunny? Hmm? You are” he coos quietly while he lifted her legs and powdered her rump.

He definitely was in his caretaker autopilot.

"I mean it didn't help that you kind of forced it out of me!" she exclaimed as he pawed at her dirty diaper, a continual blush on her face now. Not very happy to endure the diaper change, but she wanted to be clean after all. "You know, I'm not actually a baby right." she said a little sourly as he cooed at her, though part of her was feeling a little anxious about this, odd.

The tiger was almost humming not thinking much of Judy's words, until he had the diaper up between her legs, then folded the tabs over and taped it snugly onto her. "Um......eh heh......well. Sorry. I'm just used to looking after so many tots that I run an automatic routine" he says as he grabbed her under her arms, stood her up, then buttoned her onesie.

"Though now that I think about it, I think it'd be cute to date someone who wore diapers, for use or just for fun" he thinks aloud. "This might be mighty forward, but Officer Hopps, are you single? Or do you date that fox, your partner on the force?" he asks.

"Let me assure you that I don't wear this." she said pointing to the diaper. "Just for fun, I wear it because I'm dedicated to my work and I want to get this job done as quickly as possible. Furthermore, it seems a little forward of you to ask such a question out of the blue, especially after such an activity." Judy said in reference to the diaper change. "But if you must know, no, I am not dating that fox." Judy finished, even though she was a little upset with how forwards he was being, a bit of her thoughts couldn't help but linger on the idea he'd put there.

He looked into her eyes seeing how upset or annoyed she seemed to be. “Sorry officer. I never meant to suggest you enjoyed what was going on. Was just curious is all” he explains. “For what it’s worth you are adorable. Beautiful even” he says while he looked to the cameras and the fake babies got back in their cribs.

"Well, I appreciate that at least. Now, I've got to get back to my job here, it won't be long now before everything comes together nicely, and then we can get these criminals out of here. I'm looking forward to a nice vacation after all the work I've put in this case." Judy said, since her pretending to be a baby was just the end result of a lot of work to even find this place in the first place.

“Vacation? What do you plan on doing?” he asks as he stood up and he scooped her up into his arms and grabbed her pacifier and gently began to rock her in his arms. “And before you get all fussy I’m just playing the part so I can carry you back into the nursery without suspicion why I spend time with you and not the bad guys” he says.

"Well I'm not sure yet, I've been quite preoccupied yah know. But anything would be good after all this work." Judy replied and then rolled her eyes at his response. "You seem to be very enthusiastic about helping me keep up my appearance, it's just what I noticed." Judy replied once more as she then went back into her childlike persona, not wanting anyone to think she was any different than she had been the entire time.

He nodded to her response then got her to her crib and tucked her in, pacifier in her mouth.

The next day he came in while the daycare workers had the babies eating in the kitchen area, and he got underneath the suspected crib, tore into it, and found vials of the drug. He grabbed all of it and took it to his security office, patched up the mattress, then waited for Judy, as she was nearly done being fed.

Matt talked to one of the workers and was able to give Judy her bottle of milk while he carried her to his office. “I found it” he whispers
