One lovely Saturday morning in urban Tokyo, Nagasumi Michishio was still asleep, savoring his day to sleep in. As it happened, he was not alone in bed at this time.

Sun Seto, his young wife, was sleeping next to him.

Nagasumi slowly stirred awake, opening his eyes, meeting the face of his beloved. He smiled and gave her a soft kiss on the lips.

Sun woke up and smiled at him. "Morning."

"Good morning yourself," her husband said with a grin, running his hand through her flowing hair. "You look even more radiant than usual today."

Sun beamed at that. "Aw, thank you for that."

He smiled and gave her another hug. "How about I treat you to breakfast in bed this morning?"

"I would like that very much, Nagasumi."

He nodded and climbed out of bed, making his way downstairs to the kitchen.

Nagasumi's mother and father were waiting downstairs.

"Hey, Dad, hey, Mom," he greeted Atsushi and Noriko as he entered the kitchen.

"Good morning, Nagasumi," Noriko said sweetly.

He smiled and said, "I'm going to make breakfast for Sun. Though I suppose Lunar will want hers, too." Even now, Sun's former rival and childhood friend still resided under their roof.

"Yes, that makes a lot of sense," she said.

Nagasumi nodded and got to work. Although Sun was the one he loved, he had grown fond of Lunar, too, and she was finally treating him as a friend instead of as her "manservant."

He definitely wanted to impress them both.

"I've taught you well," Noriko said with a smile when she saw how easily her son prepared the meal.

"Thank you for that, Mom."

She smiled and gave him a hug. Then she patted his back and told him "Now get to it. Can't keep your wife and our famous guest waiting."

He smiled and carried the tray upstairs.

He actually carried up two trays, and he left one outside the door to Lunar's room. He then carried the other tray back to his and Sun's room.

Sun sat up as he entered. "Looks delicious!"

"I'm glad you think so," he remarked as he set the tray on bed. "Well, shall we dig in?"

Sun nodded and they did so with relish.

Nagasumi smiled as he and his wife ate their morning nourishment. Halfway through, he looked to Sun and said "By the way, Sun, would you mind if I asked you a personal question?"

"Of course, ask me anything."

Nagasumi chose his words carefully: "When transforming between human and mermaid... have you ever experienced any problems with your lower body?"

"Well, sometimes, there are complications."

"Like what?" Nagasumi asked curiously. He mostly asked because he was always look for ways to improve as a husband.

Sun looked at him. "Well, sometimes I can't control my bladder or bowels."

Nagasumi was only a little surprised. "That would explain why Mom was washing your bedsheets so often the first couple months after you moved in."

She nodded a little at that.

"Well, if there is anything I could do to help, just let me know," he bade her. "I'm your husband, after all."

Sun nodded and chuckled a little bit at that. "Maybe we should take precautions."

He quickly picked up on her implications. "That's not a bad idea. At the very least, you'd look even more adorable then usual."

She nodded at that. "Why don't we discuss it with your family?"

"Alright, that sounds good to me," said Nagasumi as they finished up the meal, "I'm sure they won't have any objections."

Sun nodded and they made their way downstairs.

"Why hello, lovebirds," Atsushi remarked with a smirk as they appeared. "Sleep well?"

"Yes, thank you very much."
