A Summer to Remember (A Private RP Between Cardiac88 and Thrash Blade)
 

Catherine waited impatiently as the teacher of her final English class started to say his goodbyes. It was the last few minutes of tenth grade, and she had big plans for this summer. This year, she would be staying at mountain home that belonged to one of the few friends she had. She looked at the clock. The minutes seemed to pass like hours.
"C'mon... Just a bit longer..." She whispered to herself, staring at the clock. There were only two minutes left. "Ugh... Why can't time go by faster?"

Maggie, who happened to be in the same class, was just as excited as Catherine, if not more, to the point that she had not even gotten much sleep last night. She sat at her desk directly behind Catherine sleeping. Not even aware of the time.

As the two minutes passed, and the teacher gave his final words, the bell rung loudly. "Yes!" Catherine shouted. As people started staring at her, she shrank down. The students stopped staring and walked out of the classroom, glad that school was finally over.

Maggie practically jumped out of her chair at the sound of the bell. "I'm up! I'm up!" she looked around to see the majority of the people already escaping the class room. She sighed and looked to Catherine. "Well? Ready?" She simply asked.

Catherine turned around. She had a shy smile on her face, and she was blushing slightly because of the stares she had received earlier. "I'm ready whenever you are." She replied, "I packed all my things up before I went to bed last night, so I just have to pick them up from home."

Maggie rubbed the sleep out of her eyes and nodded. "Okay. Need a ride home?" she asked grabbing her things.

Catherine packed her binders into her bag, and stood up. "A ride home would be great." She said, smiling. "That way we can get there faster."

"Yeah! But I gotta stop at my house quick after yours. I kinda.. forgot to pack.." She said, the last sentence in a small voice, poking her index fingers together.

Catherine looked at Maggie with a blank stare for approximately ten seconds. She smiled. "That's ok. It won't be a problem at all. We have all summer to spend up there, afterall." She said.

"Ehehe sorry!" She said, smiling and putting her hand on the back of her head and walking out of the classroom with her.

Catherine nodded as they walked out of the school. "So... What's it like at your Mountain home?" She asked, "And more importantly, how long will it take for us to get there?" She was really curious. It was apparent that she had never been to the mountains, or that she hadn't been there for a long time.

Maggie thought for a moment before giving her an answer. "Um... Really really quiet!" she said, and continued "..And... It will probably take a couple hours to get there.."

Of course she was always really bad with time, so it could probably take longer. She's always been pretty forgetful and scatterbrained though.

Catherine nodded. "Are there any animals?" She asked. She looked around the parking lot, wondering which car was there for them. She brushed a strand of hair back into place with her hand while they walked.

"Um.. Well.. Maybe around the area" She said as she looked around as if she didn't even know where her own car was until she looked in one direction and made her way to a newer looking red Toyota.

"Ok." Catherine said as she followed Maggie towards the Toyota. When they finally reached it, Catherine smiled. "Is this it?" She asked curiously. Afterall, this was the first time she had actually seen Maggie's car.

"Yeah, this is it!" she said as she unlocked the doors of the car. It was pretty small though, although for two people it was fine.

Catherine climbed into the passenger seat of the car and buckled her seat belt, resting her bag on her lap. "We should go to your house first so you can pack." She said, smiling.

Maggie blinked "You sure? Your house is on the way." she said as she buckled her seat-belt and started the car.

Catherine thought for a moment. "Well... I guess it won't matter... afterall, my things are waiting at the front door." She said. She fidgeted around in her seat from the excitement. "I can't wait."

"Me neither!" she said, looking just as excited. She pulled out of the parking lot and onto the road, making her way to her friend's house. Of course she was a very crazy driver, especially when she got excited!

Catherine hung onto her belongings tightly as they drove. She never knew Maggie was this crazy a driver. "Um... Don't you think we should go a little slower?" She asked as they sped down the road, getting nearer and nearer to her street.

Maggie gave Catherine such a weird look, as if she was crazy! "Why would we slow down?" She asked as she sped down the street.

Catherine watched as her street got closer. "Maybe because the speed limit is nowhere near as fast as we're going?" She said, a bit nervous about Maggie's driving.
