The Piano Teacher and Diapers (Lies and Ishi)
 

Ignore the title. We are doing it this way:

Ralph, a nineteen year old in college, was asked if he wanted a temporary job babysitting a child for three days. It seemed that this businesswoman, a single parent, was uncertain about leaving her 'baby' at home all alone. Of course, Ralph that she must be an elemetnary school student when he came up to the door and rang the bell.

Her mom had already gone because she did trust her fifteen year old for short periods on her own. She was a teen after all.

Ralph stood there anxiously waiting for someone to open the door. He had already been paid in advance which really made him wonder what was going on, well, he was paid half in advanced....

Sarah answered the door and rolled her eyes. "You're my babysitter? Seriously?" He was barely older than she was... Then again, she was a bit of a late bloomer and looked to be closer to twelve, but still. "Come on in, I guess." Sitting back down on the couch and resuming Skyrim, she asked, "So what exactly is your job? I already did my homework and I can cook my own food."

He looked at her unbelievingly.
"I... I think I was expecting your younger sister or something? I was told to watch, um... Sarah? I have to cook for her, put her to bed at regular bedtimes, and check her homework. That's right, isn't it?"

He searched through his pocket for the paper her mom had written the rules on.

"It's me," Sarah said. "Bedtime is at 10:00, 11:00 on weekends. My home work is on the table, there's leftover meatloaf thawing, and if you want to take off and come back in two days to get payed, I won't tell." She said, never looking away from the screen.

"I can't do that," he told her. "I made a promise to your mom, and I never break promises. Besides, you are going to be alone for three days if I do that, and I'm not sure that's a good idea for a young lady, even if you are a lady and not a child."

He sat on the sofa with her.

"Do you have any particular things you should talk to me about?"

He didn't know why her mom wanted her sat, but he was sure that there had to be some reason.

"Nope," Sarah said, rolling her eyes again. "I'm allergic to shellfish? They, uh..." She blushed. "Yeah. Allergic to shellfish, that's really all the medical stuff that's important." She clearly wasn't paying any attention too him. "Look, my mom's just overprotective. I'm not a baby and I told her that, she just wouldn't listen."

Ralph sighed.
"Alright. Well, I'll just kind of be around for now if you need me, but if something happens, then you come right to me and ask for help, understand?"

He went and sat in front of the TV.

Sarah continued playing Skyrim on the TV, still ignoring Ralph. She did ask, "What's your name?" But then went right back to her game. She didn't like meeting new people and she didn't like him. So, therefore there wasn't much in that situation she did like.

Ralph looked at her a moment, and then realized that maybe this was her way of saying that this is her house, and she was going to make him as uncomfortable as possible for being there. He smiled.

"I guess I'll go check the bedrooms out," he sighed. "I have to keep them clean while your parents are gone."

He stood up to walk down the hall.

Sarah just shrugged. "Whatever," she said. Her sheets had already been washed from last night, so no worries there unless he finds washed sheets to be suspicious. She grabbed a coke from the fridge and returned to her chair, sipping it as she played.
