Dash's New Wonderbolts Uniform (Private for Arkady and Tyrant Hoof)
 

Spitfire paced in front of a group of trainees. They were at Flight Base Dobbin, the training center for the legendary Wonderbolts. And everypony had been selected. Today was their first day of training.

"All right, you may have made it but this is not the end! We will push you to your limits and beyond! You may feel terrible but know this, once you have completed our course, you will be a member of Equestria's elite fliers, the Wonderbolts!" Spitfire shouted.

Rainbow Dash was standing in line, practically bursting with pride and eagerness to start. All her worry and stress were buried deep down as she basked in the pride of being a real future Wonderbolt. All there was between her and that goal was one measily training course.

Spitfire spread her wings and prepared to take off. "All right, today, we have conditioning flights and then stunt practice!"

She leapt into the air and hovered. "Five laps around the base perimeter!" The Wonderbolt captain shot into the air as a blazing orange streak. The other probationary Wonderbolts leapt into the air and followed.

Rainbow Dash was off like a shot, determined to do her best every step of the way. She wasn't just going to beat this training, she was going to crush it. Her rainbow streak shot ahead of the rest of the probationary Wonderbolts, Rainbow Dash closing with Spitfire.

Spitfire screamed through the air. She saw Dash flying behind her. She's definitely got the right stuff!

But the captain wasn't going to make this easy; she put on a burst of speed.

Fox Bat beat his wings furiously as he sliced through the air, the grey stallion was a bit older than the rest of the probationary Wonderbolts, but he was in excellent shape.

Rainbow Dash grinned. Spitfire wanted to make this a challenge? Oh, she would make this a challenge! Wings beating with more and more effort she pushed forward, slowly gaining on the Captain of the Wonderbolts and leaving the rest of the probationary Wonderbolts far behind. Soon she was level with Spitfire, pushing herself to reach her and go beyond!

"You've really got it in you!" Spitfire exclaimed. "But you're not yet a Wonderbolt!"

Amazingly, Spitfire then pulled into a near ninety degree bank and sped on. "Try to keep up!"

Recovering from her surprise at the sudden turn Rainbow Dash followed her, feeling the strain but unwilling to give in. She had to make her turn tighter to make up for the half a second she spent surprised. She felt an odd disturbance inside but ignored it, focusing on matching Spitfire rather than dealing with any complaints from her body at the strain it was under. She trained all the time, she'd be fine.

"Oh, yeah, how about this?" Spitfire pulled into another ninety degree turn. By now, her wings were starting to ache but the warm up was almost over. She put on a final burst of speed as she saw the runway.

Rainbow Dash had been expecting something like that and was ready, matching Spitfire. Her wings ached too but now they were on a straight run to the landing runway. With a smirk she pumped her wings and, in the last stretch, managed to overtake the Captain of the Wonderbolts. Letting out a loud woop she hit the runway, sliding to a halt and spinning so she was facing Spitfire. Something felt weird down below but she dismissed it, too exuberant to notice.

"How was that, Sir?" Her wings felt like they were on fire but no reason to let anypony know that.
