Gilda's Dash of Change {Private with LilLuna}
Ugh... There wasn't supposed to be rain. Gilda flew through the storm as quickly as possible. She was just in the area for a delivery. She wouldn't be anywhere near this place if it wasn't for work. Ponyville... Stupid Dash! Damn dweebs... Gilda huffed. Whatever, she'd just head back to Cloudsdale or-Suddenly, the rain started coming down harder. A crack of lightning made her flinch. Holy shit! Geez... Alright Gilda, suck it up. Just a little bit further. You'll be out of Ponyville's area in no time at all.
Gilda flapped harder and harder through the rain. Just had to push through! Come on, just-CRACK! An arc of lightning shot right past her. She veered off course, and slammed straight into something. Pain shot through her, and she collapsed on a cloud below her. The rain blurred everything, darkness clouded her vision... It wasn't long before she passed out. |
Dash let out a long sigh, how inn the world could anypony choose to scheduled a storm like this just because they were behind a few hours? Still she finally chose to sit down after a long day of organizing it. Yet when she did she heard a rather loud crack of thunder, followed by something slamming against the side of her house. Instantly her eyes darted to the spot where it came from, seeing a clear indention in the wall. The only thing that could make a dent like that was a pegasus or a really huge bird.
Immediately she bolted outside, only to find the griffon laying there. For a moment her eyes flashed with anger, and she contemplated leaving her there to wait it out, griffons were tough after all. But then she saw her body, she was bumped up pretty badly and she let out a deep sigh. "You had better be happy I'm nice featherbrain." She stated as she grabbed her scruff with her teeth and pulled the unconscious griffon inside. |
It took her quite a while to gain consciousness. Even being conscious, she stayed still, and kept her eyes shut. Ungh... Everything... Ow! Everything hurts... That's pain. That is definitely pain. I... I must've flown into the something. The only thing I could've flown into that high up was a cloud home. Ugh... Gilda didn't want it spread around that she crashed into a cloud home. It had been during a storm, but around her workplace, it was a common joke to make fun of someone who had. She didn't need that flak. Nopony laughed at her.
Dash had chosen to stay at Gilda's side the entire time, she managed to splint her leg and her right wing, but she was certainly banged up quite a bit; and with a wing like that she wasn't going anywhere. That was one of the only things that kept her here. Jeez Gilda you think you'd know not to fly in a storm." She thought with a huff, slowly going through her new book with a pot of soup waiting on the table for the griffon to stir, she may not have liked her much after last time, but she was still a friend, and she wasn't loyalty for nothing.
Did she want to open her eyes? She was in pain, she could feel a headache on the horizon too, and she had flown into someone's house. That someone might not be happy when she awoke. That'd just lead to more crap... Ugh, whatever.
Gilda's eyes slowly opened, and adjusted to the light. She was inside... That was a decent sign. It wasn't a good one, but it was at least decent. She sat up, ever so slowly, and looked to her side. Suddenly, everything paused. Time was forced to a screeching hault, as Gilda's eyes widened at the sight of the rainbow pegasus she had once called her friend. It... It was not possible. No, no, no, no no no NO! Why did she have to crash into the one house of the one pony she was avoiding?! Gilda sat there, frozen in indecision, anger, sadness, and a small hint of fear. |
Dash slowly lowered the book to see Gilda had woken up, she flashed her a bit of a glare, but like she was she knew Gilda could do nothing. "This doesn't change anything Gilda. That was really uncool what you did to Pinkie, and making Flutters cry. I'll let your wing and talon heal, because I'm not a monster like you." She stated slamming the book shut firmly. "But if you go anywhere near my friends I will do so much worse than a broken wing." Her voice was a growl.
Immediately, Dash unloaded on her. A monster?! Seriously?! And then a threat?! "Oh, come on! That pink dweeb wouldn't leave me alone! And all I did was roar at that baby! It's not my fault if she couldn't take it!" Going back around to the original insult... "And a monster?! Seriously, Dash?! You're the one who turned your back on me! Element of Loyalty my flank! We were friends way longer than you were with those dweebs! And as if I'd ever want to go back to that lame ass town, or go anywhere near your friends!"
At that Dash got angry as well, but she gritted her teeth deeply instead. "Big baby? Gilda you knew good and well Flutters can't take such things, and did you have to be so mean? All Pinkie wanted to do was welcome you. I'm also sure that if you just talked to me I could convince Pinkie to give us a day." She defended her friends firmly, yet Gilda was right. "I am loyal, but sometimes that means knowing when to back off. Maybe if you swallowed that griffon pride once in a while..."
Gilda sneered. "Oh, here we go again! Us griffons are just such big jerks, huh?! Maybe I wouldn't have to shove my griffon pride around so much if I wasn't surrounded by ponies 24/7!" She adjusted herself to sit upright, and in the process, slammed her arm against the bedframe. "Son of a bucking-Ugh!"
Dash though wasn't having that either, still before she could speak up Gilda moved like that, and clearly hurt herself. "Careful, you can't move around to much until that arm heals." She stated, indicating to the soup. "You should eat too, you've been out for two hours. Besides you could be a bit nicer." She stated with a shake of her head, slipping up and going over to the griffon to look at the split, smiling when she saw it held quite well.
