Alexander's Loving Mother (Private)
 

On a beautiful Saturday morning, 8 year-old Alexander, or Alex for short as some of his relatives call him, was slowly waking up from a good nights sleep after doing a big project over the past week and surprisingly getting an A on it. He sits up in his bed and lets out a yawn, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "Mmmmmm, I wonder if Mom is up yet." He said to himself as he looked toward his bedroom door.

He could hear some movement downstairs as his mom was cooking up some breakfast. She was making pancakes to celebrate how well he did on his project, as well as how hard he had worked. He could already smell them from his room.

Alex indeed sniffed the scent of buttermilk pancakes and smiled to himself as he got up and slips his slippers on. "Mmmmmm, smells like pancakes!" He happily said to himself as he came out of his bedroom and made his way downstairs to the kitchen.

His mom saw him as he came down and smiled happily at him. "Good morning, honey." she said, giving him a big hug. "How did you sleep?" she asked, ending the hug to flip a pancake over in the pan, really happy and proud of him.

Alex snuggled into the hug and was let go shortly after. "I slept great, mom!" He said proudly with a smile on his face, but then he nervously giggled a bit. "But, I could use a change after breakfast though." He said with a small blush. Between the two of them, Alex had an issue with his potty training as of late. While he can still use the bathroom, it was insisted that he'd be diapered just in case which made the boy feel a bit embarrassed.

Once the new pancakes were in the pan, she knelt down to him and gave him another hug. "Of course, honey." she said, rubbing his back gently. "Try not to feel bad, okay? It was just an accident." she told him, knowing that it was mostly embarrassment, but still wanting to make sure that he didn't start feeling down about it.

Alex looked at his mom as he was hugged and brightened up some, feeling a little better. "Thanks, mom!" He said and went over to the table to sit down.

She smiled, finishing up the pancakes and bringing them to the table, sitting down next to him and serving them, putting the syrup on for him before they both start eating.

Alex smiled wide and licked his lips. He took his knife and fork and began eating his pancakes.

She ate her own meal happily, and once it was finished, she gave him a hug, gently wiping his face, which had gotten a bit of syrup on it. "So, are you all nice and full?" she asked, smiling at him.
