Padded Prehistoric Pet Predators (Private for Silvertip and Jeremy)
 

De-extinction. The term itself has become inextricably linked to dinosaurs thanks to Michael Crichton's legendary novel, Jurassic Park. Alas, genetic engineering in that time period was relatively crude. But as the years passed, genetic engineering techniques matured and soon, there was talk about resurrecting dinosaurs.

And so, advanced gene sequencing and DNA synthesis technology allowed dinosaurs to walk the earth again. But an unforseen side effect of the process was substantially enhanced intelligence. Meaning that these new raptors were as smart as Humans.

In order to acclimate these new sapient raptors to Human society in hopes that they could coexist with their creators, many of them became pets or service animals.

And this is where Edward Maya came in. He had volunteered to take one of the raptors as a pet. This was accomplished only after an extensive background check and examination of his house.

A few trucks pull up to Edward Maya house and a guy in a green shirt and a logo for where he works and Jean pants and shoes and grabs his clip board and come up to Edward Maya house and rings the door bell.

Ed opened the door and greeted the man. "Hello, what brings you here?" he asked. "If it is about the background check and home inspection, I had already had that performed and approved."

He then made a movement to back away from the door. "If you give me a moment, I can get the paperwork for you."

That would be good sir but we have brought over the raptor you choose and some of the needed supplies for her"

He said as he wait by the door and said it loud enough for him to hear and looking over his clip board of the raptor and the supplies.

"Um, needed supplies?" he asked. "I had already brought food, bedding and other pet care supplies. Anyways, let me go grab the paperwork."

Ed quickly went upstairs to grab the required forms and permits that he had to sign in order to be allowed to have a raptor in his house. A few minutes later, he arrived with a folder containing said items. He passed them over to the man.

"Anyways," he said. "What exactly do you mean 'supplies'?"

diapers,leash,a bit of toys and possibly a raptor house for the backyard." He said and look the paper work over.
"Everything looks good you want to see him"
He said as he open the back of his truck. And the other trucks open and brings the stuff in the back inside and the raptor house in the backyard.

The first item caught Ed by surprise. He blinked briefly, wondering if he had misheard something.

"Excuse me," he said, watching the crew move all the stuff into his house. "But did you say, 'diapers'?"

He knew the raptors were fully sapient but he expected them to be more akin to a pet...not a baby!

Yes I did say diaper" as he show the raptor in the back and notice there presences and get up as he show around his rear is a diaper.
This one is having some trouble using the bathroom and he had many returns but we thought you would take him" "if not then we will bring him back and have to put him down" he said as he looks over the clip board.
And the raptor looks at his new owner and whimpers as he herd put down.

Ed nodded. "Okay then, I'll take him."

He didn't want to be known as the one who got a sapient, incontinent raptor put down. If they were going to integrate into Human society, that particular reputation would be hard to shake.

That and it just felt wrong to send the raptor off to be put down simply because he needed diapers.

The guy put the Velociraptor on a leash and brings him in the hour and let him go.
The Velociraptor walks around and was sniffling his new home.
"Guess he likes it" the guy said seeing the Velociraptor walk around a d sniffing his home.
