D&D 5e: Another day, another dungeon.
 

Two adventurers stood in front of the entrance to a dungeon, quite excited to take on their first one.
(Do a quick character introduction.)

Leandros, a young Shinx, checked that his armor was signed and his short sword was in its holster waiting for the moment of battle. After listening to stories of treasures and riches in the dungeon, it did not take him long to find his partner to embark on a new adventure.

Cort, a Todile bard, followed Leandros eagerly, with a lute by his side, a rapier on his hip and leather armor. "Are you ready to do this?" He asks.

-Oh my friend, when we get the treasure of this dungeon, the celebration will last all night. Let's not waste any more time.- And with that Leandros took the first step by entering the dungeon.

The first room is pretty bare, with nothing interesting to speak of. The door to the next room beckons.

Leandros feels disappointed but decides not to lower his guard, he cautiously opens the door to the next room.

The next room does have a chest in it, and nothing else that Leandros can see. (Make a perception check.)

Leandros enters the room and checks everything before deciding what to do next, the chest is certainly promising.

(I made a mistake in explaining this. You add your wisdom modifier to the roll, not your wisdom score, which in your case is 0. So your roll is actually 12.)
Leandros does not see anything amiss with the room, or the chest.
