Breaking Dawn - a Florin and Mihaela Backstory RP (private)
 

Fifteenth-century Romania was far from the most ideal place and time to live. It was the height of the reign of Vlad Tepes, otherwise known as Vlad the Imapler. He ruled over his subjects with an iron fist, showing the harshest punishments for even the simplest of infractions. There were even rumors that he had dealt in the dark arts, taking on the form of an apparition who feasted on the blood of its victims.

Of course, there was a definite side of him that was unseen by all but the closest in his circle. Especially to his lovely daughter, Cristina, who had just given birth to healthy twins, a boy and a girl.

Vlad was currently at his daughter's bedside. He was giving one of his very rare smiles when he gazed down at his grandson Florin and granddaughter Mihaela. "They are perfect, just like you, my dear."

"Thank you, Father. That means a lot to me." She held the newborns close in her arms, tearing up.

Vlad sighed. He had not felt this happy since his wife was alive. Her death had actually been instrumental in his descent into madness. It was only because of Cristina that he had managed to retain even part of his sanity.

Cristina brought Florin and Mihaela to her waiting breasts to nurse them, while Vlad and their closest and only friend among the servants, head maid Ioana, watched nearby.

"Is there anything I might get you, my lord and lady?" Ioana offered, standing at attention as the twins drank their mother's milk.

"I think that there's a need to change my nightgown and the linens, we still haven't done that since my water broke."

"It shall be done," Ioana declared, moving to do those assignments swiftly and efficiently.

Cristina felt so much better afterwards, then noticed as Ioana came out with some additional thick cloth in her arms.
