Victor Van Dort sat at his desk, occupied in one of his favorite pastimes of sketching. He had quite a gift for the act, as his artistic talent seemed to come naturally.

His beloved wife, Victoria, was nearby. Ever since they'd finally united as one, they broke out of their constricted past lives and only grew more self-assured.

Victor soon finished up, and then he took it to his wife. "What do you think, darling?"

"I think you've only gotten better, Victor."

Her husband smiled and kissed her forehead. "I must say; you look especially radiant today."

Victoria nodded. "Well, what can I say? I just feel quite excitable right now."

"I know exactly what you mean," Victor claimed, sitting down beside her. Although their marriage had been arranged out of convenience to their families, they had come to develop very strong feelings for one another.

Naturally, since then, Victoria, at least, had put her family firmly in the past and was coming into her own.

Victor gave his wife a tender kiss on the lips, and then he let his hand drift down to her abdomen. "How is the little one?"

"I think they'll grow up to be nice and strong."
