There was only one word that could describe what had occurred to Squall Leonheart and his team in such a short time: whirlwind.

Dormant memories of their childhood had resurfaced in all of them. It turned out their former rival, Sorceress Edea, had actually been their Matron, who had lovingly nurtured them in their youth.

There was also figuring out the presence of a young woman named Elle in their lives, especially Squall's.

Her proper name was Elleone, and she had been like a big sister to Squall. He hoped they would be able to reconnect.

When their fight was over, they all found themselves at a crossroads.

Headmaster Cid approached them all, wrapping his arm around his estranged wife's waist. "I suppose you must all feel conflicted at this time."

"Well, I naturally wouldn't expect otherwise."

Edea came forward and said, "I would like nothing more than for things to be as they once were. You are very precious to me; all of you."

Naturally, they weren't quite sure how to react.

Selphie, however, was the first one to react. She made her way over to Edea and embraced her tenderly.
