The Padded Pop Star
 

Victoria was getting ready for an important audition that could make or break her potential music career.

Evelyn Clark was a big name in the music business as a producer and manager. She'd been behind some of the biggest acts of the last decade, but recently Evelyn had been getting more of reputation for being incredibly difficult to please and turning down just about every act that came her way.

Unfortunately as she sits in her viewing booth watching the last act shuffle of the stage in failure, the bored scowl on her face made her secretary Opal think that this was just going to be another such day of rejection.

"Ugh, tell that loser to come back when he learns how to stay on key," Evelyn grunts. "Next."

"Yes Ms. Clark," Opal says before raising a microphone. "Number 15. Miss Victoria. Please enter the stage."

Victoria took a deep breath and walked onto the stage with a faint crinkling sound accompanying her.

Evelyn raises an eyebrow at the young woman walking out.

"Well at least this one's cute," Evelyn says with a shrug. "All right let's see what she can do." Evelyn shrugs leaning back, psyching herself up for another failure. However, as she continues to look the auditioning singer over, she feels that there's something different about her.

"Miss Victoria feel free to begin your performance whenever you're ready," Opal says into her microphone.

Victoria began her number, a song about being young at heart. While she was moving around, the crinkling sound kept following her.

As she watches the performance, Evelyn's expression changes and she starts to lean forward in her seat.

"She's quite good don't you think Ma'am?" Opal asks, enjoying the song and picking up on her boss' change in demeanor.

"Girl has a great voice I'll give her that," Evelyn says, remaining fixated on the performer. "Dance moves are nothing to scream about though." But she finds herself focusing closer on Victoria's outfit. Almost as if there's some sort of...bulge? As she's thinking this, she finally hears one of the crinkles as she moves, and her eyes widen.

In the middle of her routine, Victoria accidentally tripped and fell flat on her back, causing Evelyn and Opal to get a good look at the thick diaper underneath her skirt.

"Oh my," Opal says, blushing brightly. "Well uh...that's..." The secretary simply stammers and turns to her boss, but to her surprise Evelyn appears...thoughtful.

After a moment, she stands up and turns to Opal.

"Bring her up to my office," Evelyn says. "And tell the rest of the auditionees we're taking a break." She says, walking out the back door of her box.

"Uh yes ma'am, Ms Clark," Opal says with a nod as she hurries out of the box herself and to the backstage area to await Victoria.

Victoria, ashamed at what had happened, tried to run away so nobody could ask her about what she was wearing, but she was stopped by Opal.

"Ah Miss Victoria," Opal says as she almost runs into her backstage, though she does have to struggle not to blush after what she just witnessed. "Miss Clark was very impressed by your performance and would like to follow up with you in her office. Right this way," Opal says gesturing down the hallway that leads to an elevator.

Meanwhile, Evelyn is waiting in her office, a bit of a strange look on her face, well at least strange for her. She's trying to get her "poker face" back on, but at the moment there's an undeniable tinge of excitement to her. But soon enough she manages to get that under control.
