In the aftermath of the expedition that had taken place, Captain Amelia had not only fallen in love with Dr. Delbert Doppler, but a variety of other changes had taken place.

The injuries she had sustained had left her near incontinent. Currently she was on her rare days of leave from running the Academy. She was currently in the tavern of Sarah Hawkins. The pair had become fast friends.

"So, Captain, how goes it today?" Sarah asked her.

"Its going good Sarah." She smiled, sipping on a cup of coffee

"Anything new to report? Anything I can help you with?"

"Hmm, no, why do you ask?" She dipped her cup

Sarah just smiled. "Well, are you and Delbert getting closer? Anything new between you two?" She also was expecting that Amelia would need a change fairly soon.

Amelia quirked an eyebrow, "Well. we've gone on a few dates, and I believe he may propose to me soon. Meanwhile how's Jim? I know he's doing well, or well enough, at the Academy, but how is he at home?"

"Things are certainly so much better," Sarah said. "And I'm definitely thankful for everything. I think we're really having a fresh start at life."

She couldn't help but smile at that particular fact.
