Korra and Asami's Babyish Bet
 

Avatar Korra had just entered the apartment she rented with her girlfriend, Asami Sato. "Hey, babe. I'm back from training." She said with a grin before seeing the stern look on Asami's face.

Asami had been reading, upon hearing Korra come in, she looks up with a smile, but this soon turns into a frown as she remembers something. Asami stands, sets her book aside, and turns to Korra with her arms crossed.

"Korra, welcome home, my love," She says, her tone lightening a bit as she walks up to her. "Now is there something you want to tell me? Maybe about something you hid in our bedroom? Because I'd feel a lot better hearing you admit to it first..." Asami says, raising an eyebrow. She really hated to greet Korra like this as she came home, but the woman's patience was very near its limit over this little issue they'd been having.

Korra knew that look and gulped. She knew what this meant. "I... I don't know what you're talking about." She said as she stepped back slightly, causing a mild crinkling sound to come from her. "I made the bed today, didn't I?" She replied, trying to change the subject/suck up to Asami.

Asami sighs and shakes her head. She then turns and walks back to the couch, reaching behind it.

"Yes you did, and it seems you used that chore to hide these," Asami grunts as she pulls up two of Korra's pants, one pajama and one normal, which seem to be stained in the groin area. "Seriously Korra? How many times do we have to go through this? Is it really so hard to just ask me for help with your diapers so you don't leak all over your clothes?"

After her physically and psychologically traumatic experience with Zaheer and the Red Lotus, Korra had been struggling to recover, and while she had mostly gotten back on the physical front, a lingering problem had been that her bladder and bowels had weakened to the point of near total incontinence. As such she had to wear diapers at all times, which wouldn't be a problem except that she always insisted to put them on herself....and she was really bad at it, hence the soaked pants she'd tried to hide.

Korra winced at the sight of her soaked pants. "Well maybe I want to show I'm not a stupid baby! Why do I have to go asking you every time I need a diaper change? Do you have any idea how dumb that is?" At this point, Korra was just throwing a fit.

"Well hiding the clothes you leaked on because you insisted on putting your diapers on without help and then having a tantrum about it sure sounds like something a baby would do!" Asamai snaps back, before glancing away, taking a deep breath and looking back to Korra. "Listen Kora...," she says, calmer now as she reaches out to take her hand. "I understand this has all been difficult to you, but ignoring this problem isn't going to make it go away any faster. And seriously, I don't mind helping you with this, so please just let me," Asami asks, giving Korra a particularly worried look.

"Come on, it's embarrassing! I'm the Avatar! I shouldn't need help with something as simple as getting dressed." Korra complained as Asami grasped her hand.

"Come on Korra," Asami says, pulling her over to their couch and sitting down with her, still holding her hands. "You went through a truly horrible experience. There's no shame in needing more time to recover, or needing assistance while you're recovering. Can't you just let me help you? Please?" Asami asks, trying to stay calm while also balancing how worried she is about Korra with how frustrating her girlfriend is being.

Korra sat down with a crinkle, which only further embarrassed her. "But you don't know how... helpless this makes me feel. How can you even help me with this?" She asked.

"I get that Korra I really do," Asami says, as she strokes the back of Korra's hand. "All I'm asking is you relax and let me handle your diapers while you focus on healing. I don't mind, really." Asami says working up a smile. It was true that she didn't mind changing Korra's diapers. In fact, she almost enjoyed it. It felt strangely nice to take care of her girlfriend in such an intimate way.
