(Okay then. Would you prefer if I started, or would you like to start off first?

(I can start )
Dawn was just wading through the thick underbrush of a dense forest. The blunette had arrived in Kalos a couple of weeks ago and during her travels came across rumors of a Pokemon Village not far from Snowbelle City. She had come here originally to find some interesting Pokemon she could use in contests back home in Sinnoh and even find a way to incorporate Mega Evolution into her routine. Now Pokemon Village is on her mind and the girl had set out to find it. Problem was....though.....Dawn had gotten a little lost and she was resting on a stump, trying to regain her bearings. Her Poketch was glitching way out in the wilderness so it's map app was no help. Right now her only option was to determine which way was back to Snowbelle city so she could get a better position of where she was in the forest. All she was doing right now was looking at a map and compass, trying to determine which way was north. "Dumb compass," she groaned, only seeing it spin around a bit, "I thought these things were supposed to be helpful. I must be over my head here. I doubt there is even a village for Pokemon." Though little did Dawn know was that the village was not only real but closer than she had thought. |
(I'm back. I took a wrong turn and went to a place called Silent Hill. Very rude welcoming committee they have.)
In her attempts to backtrack towards Snowbelle City, Dawn had, without intentionally doing so, stumbled close to the borders of the Pokemon Village. Though this was dangerous territory. Had Dawn paid attention to the stories of those who unfortunately wandered too close to the Village, maybe she would have been more aware of her surroundings, Perhaps she would have noticed the odd shapes of the trees. How they looked ghastly and freakishly bizarre. How the trees creaked and groaned, faintly emitting a ghostly essence. Dawn may have also been more observant of the faraway figures, casting ominous, black shadows in the distance. Or perhaps Dawn would have been quicker to perceive the multitude of strange, watchful eyes in the tree canopies above her. How their eyes twinkled with curiosity as they observed the raven-haired female. Maybe Dawn would have listened more closely to the rustling of leaves nearby, as black and red blurs darted in her vicinity, ready to pounce should things become ugly. Should Dawn have heeded the warnings, perhaps she would have noticed the elegant, humanoid Pokemon behind her, casting a shadow down onto the poor girl. |
Dawn was too busy trying to read her compass to try and get a bearing at where she's at. No use, the needle kept spinning round and round endlessly. "There must be a Magnemite or something causing interference," the blunette sighed as she put her compass back into her bag.
The girl would look up and noticed that she was in a very unfamiliar place, more so than when she realized that she had gotten lost. Worst part was that it was starting to get a bit dark so Dawn knew wandering about was getting pointless. All it would do at this hour was get her more lost. "Guess I am camping out tonight," she sighed as she got onto her knees, searching through her bag for her tent and sleeping back. As the blunette searched she noticed that it was getting really dark now. The sun shouldn't be setting completely for at least another half-hour. Dawn perked up and looked around. "Uh....someone there?" she asked as she turned around completely. |
By the time Dawn had registered the figure standing behind her, two slender, green arms shot out from the darkness, snaking around Dawn’s waist and dragging her in. The feminine creature that had gripped Dawn within its clutches was none other than a Gardevoir. Known for its exquisite beauty and devastating psychic abilities, many Gardevoir patrolled the area around the Pokemon Village, warding off malevolent predators and would-be-poachers from entering the village.
Once the Gardevoir had gained a hold onto Dawn, the forest seemed to come to life. Black, bipedal, humanoid vulpines began to inch their snarling mouths closer to Dawn. The trees began to splinter apart, showcasing the ghostly essence that held them together. Along with the avian creatures that stared at Dawn with their curious gaze, the trees began to sport an intimidating red eye, which seemed to glow from ill intent. The dark figures began to walk towards this swell of activity, appearing much larger and bulkier than they initially appeared. |
Dawn would gasp as she saw the green arms. She immediately knew what Pokemon it came from but before she could react she found herself being pulled into the shadows. The blunette let out a cute scream as she dropped her bag. It would have everything that would help Dawn out of being snatched, including her Pokemon.
"Uh....wh-what's going on?" she muttered nervously as she noticed the foliage of the forest dancing around her. The blunette was shuddering in Gardevoir's grasp, wondering if the Pokemon was hear to make sure she could not escape the shadows of the forest. If that was the case then why was the Gardevoir doing this? "Uh.....let me go!!" Dawn commanded as she wriggled in the Pokemon's grasp, "I have no idea what you want from me but all I was doing was finding my way back to town!!" |
Dawn’s screams did nothing to deter her captor. In fact, it only led the Gardevoir to tighten her grip. “Hush now, it’ll all be over soon~” The Gardevoir telepathically whispered to Dawn. Almost abruptly, the Gardevoir began to sing a mellow and soothing tune, slowly rocking the distraught trainer in her arms, ignoring her protests.
As the Gardevoir began to sing, many of the predators began to slink back into the woods, with many quickly scampering away from the Gardevoir’s vicinity. It was almost as if the humanoid Pokemon’s song signaled impending doom. However, there were those that stayed within proximity towards the Gardevoir and the ensnared trainer. The ghostly trees that creaked and groaned, who stared at the entrapped Dawn with intimidating, crimson eyes, inched ever so closer to the Gardevoir. Though, they did not attack the Gardevoir like some sinister predator. Rather, they encircled the humanoid Pokemon, creating an impenetrable wall of ghastly ghouls and haunted wood, impenetrable and inescapable. |
Dawn did hear a voice in her head and knew immediately that it was the Gardevoir talking to her. That did little to calm her down, though, as she struggled and wriggled to try and get her free. She didn't really want to go wherever this Pokemon wanted to take her to. Unfortunately for Dawn she wasn't having much luck slipping out of the Gardevoir's grip.
Eventually the blunette got too exhausted to continue with her struggle as she saw all the trees surrounding them. Dawn wasn't sure how she could get out even with the Gardevoir around when she remembered something about them. "C-could you by any chance use Teleport?" she questioned. By Dawn's logic if Gardevoir was able to telepathically talk to her then it could also understand the blunette. "Just get me out of here and back to the city, please," Dawn pleaded. |
Despite the blunette’s anxieties and fright, the Gardevoir would not hear her requests. Instead, the humanoid Pokemon focused on singing. “Settle down, child.” The Gardevoir spoke in a soporific, yet gentle tone. “Just close your eyes, everything will soon be alright.” She reassured Dawn, continuing to chant her strange melody.
Oddly enough, for some of the remaining predators that chose to stay, except for the haunted trees, they all began to doze off. Or, were fighting off the urge to fall asleep. Some of the trees took notice of Dawn’s restlessness. “It is too late for that now.” One of the ghastly trees spoke to Dawn, their voice distorted and gravelly. “You wandered into our territory. Now you must face the consequences.” Another faux tree chimed in, their threat both ominous and puzzling. |
Dawn would look around, seeing all the creatures slowly drifting off into sleep. Still, those trees were getting more and more frightening to the blunette. "It's too late? Consquences?" Those were the words the repeated in Dawn's mind over and over again. Most importantly why was this Gardevoir still singing to her? Did it happen to not know Teleport? Or maybe it couldn't understand her? But it telepathically spoke to her so it must be able to.
As Dawn pondered on the girl started to feel a bit strange. Her eyelids were getting heavier and heavier but she fought to keep them open. She wasn't gonna fall asleep in a situation like this. And yet, the lullaby was starting to really have an effect on Dawn's mind. Before she knew it the girl fully succumbed to the melody and fell asleep right in Gardevoir's arms. |
