It was a normal day at the Little Loved Ones orphanage. Children of all species were playing, eating, or napping. However, for one particular orphan, it was the day she find a new family.

Name: Jack
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Species: Equine furry (pony)
Hair: Black long hair, his mane is also black as well as his tail.
Eyes: Brown
Fur: Cinamon colored, white near the ends of his feet and hands, splotch of
white along his nose. Black hooves for feet, hands are also black hooves although they are 3 fingered.

Jack had butterflies in his stomach as he was led around the orphanage by one of the attendants. Today was the day, the day he'd finally have a child to call his own. The lonely equine had been putting off this day for some time, but not any longer. All the arrangements had been made, a room decorated soley for a little girl. Someone Jack could shower with love and affection. He would always be around to look after them too, as he worked from home, mainly with internet stocks so money was definitely no issue, he lived comfortably.

As he is taken to the childrens room the attendant leaves him to have a look around. Jack can't help but smile at all the children as they run to and fro, enjoying themselves. A small girl sitting by herself on a bed catches his eye though, and he slowly makes his way to her. "Hey there." He says shyly. "What's your name?"

The young neko looks up at Jack with her emerald eyes. "Hikawi. My nawme is Hikawi." She mewled nervously.

The attendant noticed Jack talking to Hikari and gently tapped his shoulder. "Sir, are you sure she's the right choice for you? She's not exactly low maintainence." She said, disregarding Hikari's tears as the attendant continued to speak.

Jack turns to the attendant. "I'll come find you when I've made a decision."
He didn't want to rush this, a chance to talk with the child and find if they
were comfortable with him was what he wanted first. When the attendant
has left Jack turns his gaze back to the young girl. "That's a very pretty
name... Mind if I sit with you Hikari?" The girl couldn't have been but 5 or 6,
at least she looked it to Jack.

Hikari simply nodded as she tried to wipe away her tears from being degraded ny the attendant. "I dun mind. Noone else wiwll sit wit me anyway." She mewled sadly.

Jack has a seat on the bed next to the girl and rests his hand on his shoulder,
gently so she could pull away if she felt the need. "There there, she didn't
mean anything by it. Nothing wrong with being a loner either, I was a bit of
one when I was young too." His hand moves from the girls shoulder to her back,
gently rubbing it to calm her down. "Do you like it here?"

Hikari shook her head, not even trying to get away from Jack. "Uh-uh, I dun wike it hewe. Ebewyone keewps cawlling me a baby. I'm a biwg giwl!" SHe cried as soon flopped over onto her tummy, her dress hiking up to reveal a messy and wet pink diaper, and it looked like she had messed herself at least an hour ago.

Jack spots her diaper, but doesn't say anything as he pulls her dress back down
over it. She must have had some bladder/bowel problem "I don't think your a
baby, you look like a big girl to me." He smiles warmly and lifts her up to a
sitting position, being very gently with her. This girl really tugged at his
heart, she seemed so miserable and Jack didn't like it one bit. "Well, since
you don't like it here how would you like to come live with me instead?"

(Going to a friends in an hour, maybe less, so if I stop posting you'll know why.)

Hikari looked up at Jack, her green eyes red with tears. "Weawly, oo meawn it? Oo weawly wanna adopt me? And ob couwse I'm a biwg giwl. I'm dis many old." She said, holding up ten fingers, proving Jack's original age estimation dead wrong, despite Hikari's 5 year old appearance.

(You don't mind if I picture her as a 6-7 year old do ya? 2 is a bit to young.

Jack chuckles and pats her on the head. "Of course I mean it, I've wanted a little girl of my own for some time now. I won't make you come if you don't want to though." He was a bit suprised she was 10, but that was alright, her mind set was obviously much younger. "So what do you say?" Jack gingerly wipes her tears away, still smiling warmly at her.
