Sally was currently running an errand in Sandgem town for her mother; or rather she was supposed to, but all she seemed to be doing right now was lurking outside of the professor's home with an apprehensive but hopeful look on her face.

Hikaru was walking past the professor's lab on her way back to the pokemon center, and saw a ten year old girl looking in the window. "Hey, what are you doing over there?!"She called out to the young girl.

"!" Sally glanced up, surprised.

"O-Oh! I was...I was just..." She said, blushing and mumbling as she looked down at her feet.

Hikaru smiled at Sally warmly. "Nervous about your first Pokemon huh? Don't worry, everyone has those first day jitters." She said kindly before extending her hand. "I'm Hikaru Shunryu. You've probably heard of Veilstone CIty Gym Leader Maylene. Well that's my big sis." SHe introduced herself with a smile.

"Y-You're Miss Maylene's little sister?" Sally said, her eyes lighting up. She shook Hikaru's hand.

"I'm Sally! It's so nice to meet you!" The ten-year-old said happily.

Hikaru smiled as she shook Sally's hand. "Wow, I guess you're quite a fan of my big sis. So, you here for your first Pokemon?" She asked as she twirled the right hand strand of hair in front of her ear around her finger.

"T-Trying to work up the courage." Sally admitted shyly.

Hikaru smiled at Sally and put a hand on her shoulder. "Would you like me to go in with you? For some support?" She offered kindly.

Sally nodded slowly.

"Y-Yes, please..." She said quietly.
