The prep room for the two S-8.2 pilots resembled a locker room. In fact, it was a locker room. They had built the facility out of what had once been a large boarding school, not having the time to just build something new.
Across from each other, two suits sat hanging from the wall. Sleek, black rubber covered in metal plates, occasional wires poking out here and there where the electronics ran. It had a zipper in the back running from the collar down to the base of the spine where the user would step in.
Next to the suit, there was a black helmet which resembled a motorcycle helmet, and a large, white folded piece of a plasticy material.
Sarah, this being her first time suiting up for real, neither removed her clothes nor started putting on her uniform properly, instead beginning to immediately step into the suit.
