Ciel bit his lip when the demon walked into his bedroom. He hated admitting what he had done in his bed during the night, but hated sitting in the mess even worse. Pulling the blanket closer, the boy looked down at his lap to avoid allowing the demon seeing his flushed cheeks.
"I...I had another nightmare..." he trailed off, feeling much like when he was younger and his parents would check on him during the night when he did such a thing as this. It was incredibly humiliating for the ten year old. Of course, the boy did not want the demon to know of what he had done, even if the demon knew that he had already done it. Ciel did not know that the demon was already aware of his predicament.
Ciel knew that this was because of his nightmare. He knew that if he explained it to Sebastian the demon might have a sliver of understanding - though, he was a demon - but he just didn't want to relive everything that had happened. It was degrading to even think of himself as he was. Ciel was just trying to start this knew life and now the old bits of it were creeping up to haunt him.
Ciel broke his intense gaze on his lap to glance at the demon, trying to get a read on what the man was thinking. It was tough - demons had excellent poker faces. He wanted to whimper and allow the bed to eat him, but he wouldn't allow it. If he was going to be an Earl of Phantomhive, he had to act like one.
Though, he wasn't doing a very good job sitting in his puddle.
The boy couldn't help but think of how humiliating it was for him to do this. Even more so, he couldn't even take care of it like an adult would have been able to. Ciel had been raised as a noble boy, who had everything done for him. He had never even taken a bath by himself or dressed himself without assistance, and definitely did not know how to strip sheets of a bed and replace them with dry linen. Ciel felt hopelessly incompetent.
What truly humiliated the boy wasn't only the rapidly cooling urine underneath him and on his legs, but the fact that this wasn't the first time it had happened since returning to the mansion. It had happened a number of times, and it always had the same effect on him. The boy would be embarrassed and brooding. After being cleaned up, he would go about his day, though with less ambition as he did on the days where this wouldn't happen.
When Ciel had first started waking to wet sheets, him and the demon collectively excused it as trauma after being abused in the custody of evil for a month. After the accidents had continued, Ciel had excused it as possible illness, though the demon did not. Ciel was beginning to lose hope that there was a medical cause for his problem.
It confused the boy so much, as this had never happened to him before his parents murders. While small and sickly as a young child, he had never been known to have accidents like this in the bed, which only bothered Ciel more now that this had begun to happen. Not only did it cause him embarrassment after it happened, but it also affected his day after, causing him to be more tired and aggravated.
Ciel decided then that he would definitely be reading up on nocturnal enuresis. For now, though, the situation at hand was to clean up and bathe in order to rid his body of the disgusting urine smell. Ciel didn't care that it was still in the middle of the night, he was up now, and only wanted this whole situation to disappear.
Despite the fact that Ciel had informed Sebastian of his nightmare - words that the butler would know immediately what he had done, as it had been happening just the same since he had returned from the horrible cult that had kept him - it didn't calm his nerves that the demon was in his room. His heart was still racing as he envisioned the horrible things that his kidnappers had done to him. His eyes almost began to tear up at the memories he had been experiencing every time he closed his eyes.
