Ciel continued to sleep on, not even noticing the amount of fecal matter that had filled his pants. He had even rolled over quite a few times out of discomfort, smearing the offending mess inside of his clothing.
It was Claude that discovered the mess the next morning. He walked into the room as he always did when Alois was alive, wheeling a tray of tea to the front of the bed. When he had first walked in, he smelled the mess that had gone on, though was confused. As far as he knew, Ciel did not have any issues with his bowels.
"Your highness, it is time to wake up," Claude said, announcing the day as he had always done for Alois. "We have much to do today; the day will start with another bath." Ciel took a moment to process what the demon had just said when he began to fully awaken and realize what had happened in his clothing.
Ciel said nothing, only avoiding Claude's gaze. If this had been Sebastian, the demon would have lightly teased the boy before helping to clean up. Claude, though…his voice was monotone, his face was emotionless. Ciel didn't know if he liked or disliked that quality.
"A bath is a good idea," Ciel said, trying to get out of bed without causing further mess. This did not go very well, as the mess had already been spread quite a bit.
"I will call on Hannah to clean the sheets," Claude said as he guided Ciel to the restroom to clean him up enough for a bath. Once Ciel was stripped, cleaned, and soaking, Claude wordlessly took the Earl's clothing to be washed as well.
Claude was beginning to wonder if the boy had done this all before, and Sebastian just handled it better than he did. He knew that Sebastian was watching his every move, and that the demon must have known what his young master had done. Claude chuckled softly to himself at the realization that the contracted demon of the boy was watching as a different demon cleaned up fecal matter from the master.
"Your highness, I believe it is time for you to get out of the bath and have your breakfast in the dining hall," Claude said, removing Ciel from the bath and being quick to pat him dry - gently, this time - and dress him in Alois' leftover clothing. They were a bit big, but it didn't take long for the demon to tailor the clothing.
"I'm not very hungry," Ciel said. After skipping dinner and trying to skip breakfast, Sebastian would have had a field day - and probably was from his safe distance from where he was spying on the two. Claude, though, did not press the matter.
"Very well, would you like to sit in the study and read over the morning's newspaper?" Claude asked. Ciel simply nodded, allowing the demon to guide him to Alois' study where he was given a freshly ironed newspaper to read. Claude wordlessly left the room to attend to other matters while Ciel was reading his paper. He would be entertained for the time being.
