Miss Annalise Goldman stood in the boardroom peering over her thick-rimmed glasses at the board members for the monthly stock meeting. She let her long brown hair fall past her shoulders as she leaned over the table to stare intently at the men assembled around her with her icy blue eyes. "So the numbers are telling me our shares are up. That's good." She stated flatly. Truth be told she didn't have time for this, already her mind was thinking of the next meeting she had to go to. "However, overall our stocks are trending downward. Does anyone care to explain to me why?" Her question dripped with the venom of a dozen cobras. She had all of the assembled men sweating, which is how she liked to run her meetings.

When the meeting was finished, Annalise strolled out of the boardroom feeling accomplished. She stared at her phone, looking for the next meeting. That's all she felt her life was. Meeting after meeting. It was dull but it came with the territory of being the highest paid female CEO in the region. However it took a toll on her personal life. And that directly affected her relationship with her daughter.
