Shining Armour trotted casually down the line of new recruits, his armour clinking quietly as he moved. He cast his gaze over each individual, observing their posture, their focus and how they wore their armour, among other things. He whistled to himself in his head. These guys looked good! They were all focused and their uniforms were pristine. Some of them even looked bigger and stronger than he was! He felt a slight twinge of nervousness, his own armour and form having gotten a little sloppy after getting the captain position. He shook his head, reassuring himself. These guys were still just recruits, and he was in charge. They'd respect his higher rank, even if he wasn't as professional as he used to be.

"Alright recruits. Congratulations on all been accepted as castle guards. Your training begins today," he started, striding up and down the ranks. "I'm your captain, Shining Armour, and I'll be overseeing your training. There are three very important things to remember about your new role. The first thing... is... umm..." Shining Armour stopped as he trailed off. What was the first thing he was meant to talk about? He squirmed in place a little, shuffling his hooves. Why did he need to pee so bad? It just must have been the nerves getting to him. "The first thing... is to always be prepared for any situation..." He continued, though a little less confidently and loud than earlier.
