This was his big day. Flashing Lance, or just Lance as his friends called him, was a castle guard. He had worked hard to get to this and the fact that the ceremony was prosided over by his biggest inspiration really added to his feeling of pride. Hit was seeing Shining in action that inspired his to enter the guardhood in the first place so long ago. At the training academy Lance found outbShining had all the records in almost everything from flight to fencing. Lance did take a few of those records away, but some seemed near impossible to beat. To him Shining was always larger than life. But not seeing him he looked like kinda... small and nervous....
He'd kinda expected him to be more grand. Lance was surprised that he was actually a great deal bigger than Shining was. He was also confused by the way he was acting. Was he okay? He'd seen this kinda behavior before, but couldn't thing of where or what it meant.
Lance brushed off these feeling and maintain his alert pose at near the head of the group. He'd soon be up on stage to get him be given his validictorian award and give a small acceptance speach.
