Sara's mother opened the curtain and saw the mess. "Oh honey, it's okay. Don't worry." Sara's mother hugged Jen as a means to try and calm the sobbing girl. "I will get this cleaned up. You need to go take a shower. But first, I need to make sure you don't have a fever." Sara's mother placed the probe under Jen's tongue and waited for the beep. Once she heard the beep, she removed the probe and it read 100.4. "I will call your mother dear. You absolutely cannot go to school with this fever. I will have the doctor examine you at the same time she does Sara." Sara's mother said. "But before any of that, you two girls need medication and water. Wait here, and I will be back momentarily." She continued.
