Mina was herself indeed distracted while she is being keep here against her will... she is in affect in a gilded cage situation as she was stuck but she was having fun playing with the toys that's in the location she is stuck at... so at the very least she is safe for now

Suddenly though Shouta as he was going to Mina was struck in the face by something when a laser detected him... What you may ask? A banana cream pie..thus seems whoever had taken the students isn't so much intent on harming them but rather keeping them around via mostly harmless deterrents... After all hostages or leverage is never good or any use to be harmed when you need them .. What Shouta may notice though is Mina had taken to playing with some Pink Pony plushie while stuck here... Kinda ironic given Minas skill tone

But once he was close enough to Mina what will happen is he will get the first taste of true trouble as it seemed the weird world around Shouta started to get a lot brighter in the color pallet, yet at the same time he was starting to be sent to another realm …For he fell for the trap granted traveling realms without protection from the affections of the new world means he will most likely black out once he is far enough removed from his reality and find himself matching the most dominant intelligent species of where he lands
