Since the dawn of the First Age when Eru Iluvatar created Middle-Earth, Orcs and Uruk-hai had eternally been at war with Elves, Men, and Dwarves. Until the start of the Fourth Age, when Sauron, Dark Lord of Mordor and deadliest servant of Morgoth, was destroyed once and for all, thus releasing the fallen Elves from his service. Now, it was not uncommon for Orcs and Uruk-hai to dwell in the same place as their former foes. One such individual was the female Uruk Audbe, handmaiden to Queen Arwen of Minas Tirith. She was waking up on a fine summer morning beside her husband, the Gondorian soldier Normun.
