"Ah Ams," Sonic says, blushing a bit at the kiss and glancing around to see if any of their other friends were here yet. But he quickly rolls his eyes and smiles at her as he notices her gesture. "All right it is your birthday." He shrugs and proceeds to carry her towards the train.
As the two of them board, Tails and Knuckles enter the station, the latter easily carrying all of the luggage.
"I still think this is excessive," Knuckles grunts. "I mean going on a whole train ride? Why not just cake and ice cream and be done with it?"
"Oh lighten up Knuckles this is gonna be fun," Tails says, hovering alongside the surly echidna. "Just think a whole weekend to relax on board a luxury train. It's as much a gift to all of us as Amy." As the two of them are debating, they can't know that they're being watched from a train window by Sage and Surge.
"Excellent, I have confirmed our first target," Sage says.
"Remind me again why we're going after the two-tailed runt first?" Surge says. "Shouldn't we take Sonic as soon as possible."
"Tails technological expertise and overall intelligence makes him a greater threat to the operation than sonic," Sage replies. "That is why he must be neutralized as soon as possible. Remember the importance of following the order of the plan."
"Yeah, yeah," Surgre rolls her eyes and glances back out the window just in time to see Blaze the cat entering the station. "Oh wonderful her royal flame but, I almost forgot she was in on this."
Blaze for her part is walking at a deliberate pace through the station, carrying only two pieces of luggage, one of which appears to be a gift. The Sol Princess is maintaining her composure, but anyone who knows her well enough can tell she's excited.
