Deep within the ruined Cathedral of Manus Celes, the puppet witch, Ranni stared in surprise at the nameless Tarnished which stood before her. This fearless and courageous warrior explored through the ethereal caves of Ainsel, trudged through the repellent Lake of Rot and fought tooth and nail against The NaturalBorn of The Void and the Glintstone Dragon, Adula. Weary, yet still filled with vigor, this knight ventured into the desecrated ruins of Manus Celes, all in an attempt to bequeath Ranni with the Dark Moon Ring. Symbolizing not only his utter loyalty and servitude, but his affection for the celestial witch.

Ranni had spoken briefly before, declaring the Tarnished warrior as her consort. The Tarnished never uttered a word, staying as silent as ever. But his silence was comforting to Ranni. It meant the Tarnished was listening to her every word. It meant that he was accepting his fate, along with her own. Ranni’s lips slightly parted as she breathed a calming sigh. She could feel herself being pulled into the celestial abyss which awaited her. “I go now, to the night sky.” Ranni spoke, her voice tinged with excitement. “It is there I shall find mine order.”

The Tarnished reached a hand out, wanting to caress the sorceress’ cheek. A rare show of affection that Ranni was wholly unprepared for. Ranni quickly grasped the hand of the Tarnished before her, smirking slightly as she placed his hand against her bosom. The ice-cold sensation which the Tarnished felt was expected. A wickedly cold heart for the one who orchestrated the death of Godwyn. Whose destiny was bound for the frigid cosmos. “I bid thee travel the path of the lord.” Ranni stated. The Tarnished understood and promptly lifted his hand from Ranni’s chest. Her time in this world was nearing its end. Ranni could feel herself being pulled from the fabric of this universe every passing second.

“And once all is done, we shall see each other once more.” Ranni finished, as her body began to materialize into thousands of blue particles, which slowly disintegrated and disappeared. The last thing Ranni saw in this world was the face of the Tarnished who was to be her king. The one would await her arrival in the new world.

As Ranni traveled throughout the cosmos, she could not see. She had been blinded! Everything was cold, dark and inviting. The Lunar Princess smirked as she felt the comforting cold surrounding her. She could feel the cosmos in the palms of her hands. She could not view them, but she could feel their complexities, their richness and their order. A soft chuckle escaped her lips as Ranni felt a wave of ataraxy wash over her. In all her years of being, she had never felt this serene.

That all changed once a bright light overcame her surroundings. A warm, unfamiliar and threatening light blinded her. It started out as a small blip. That much, Ranni could tell, but this light had suddenly swelled! Its reach grew larger, as it erased the cold. Ranni had to see what this threat was! Her destiny could not be challenged this early on! But Ranni could not see! She began to scream and cover her arms over her eyes in a vain attempt to block out the hideous warmth
